Black and floral OOTD for summer & Weekly LINK UP #234

Image
July is ending. It has been a busy month filled with my toddler's birthday, making preparations for going back to work in a few weeks, painting our house, expanding my flower beds, and spending time with family and friends. But let's continue with the outfit. A couple of weeks ago I went shopping and although I ended up buying only some new flowers for my flower bed, I stumbled on a cute wrap skirt at the Lindex store. For some reason, I didn't buy it. A few days later I was doing some online shopping at the boozt.com site and stumbled on the same skirt in a different print. The skirt was discounted, and so I didn't think twice when I added it to my shopping cart. Together with the wrap skirt I also purchased black slip-on sandals. I first saw these on the Ecco site and liked the style, however, they were sold out in my size on there, and the only place I found them available in my size was Boozt. I paired my floral wrap skirt with a simple black ta...

Last week my younger son turned three. Oh wow! The time flies so fast. It seems like yesterday when he was a tiny (ok not that "tiny") baby and now he is a big boy. Loving helicopters and plains, big trucks , cars, and knows very fell different car brands. Like when we go on our daily walks, he recognizes 99% of the cars he sees. Like wow! When it comes to his birthday present, then, in a way it was super easy, because he knew he wanted a big white Audi. But that didn't mean that he wanted a simple toy car. Oh no - he wanted the electric battery-powered ride-on car- the one he could drive around and turn the steering wheel. Since those aren't cheap then I kind of hoped that maybe he would change his mind, but no - he is one little stubborn dude. We actually planned to get him a white Audi Q8 but since the white one was sold out in most places or had an estimated delivery time of 1+months, then we decided to buy him a white Audi R8 Spider. He was and still is ...

How have you been? Last Friday, I received my first dose of the COVID vaccine. I had a choice between three vaccines (Janssen, Moderna, and Pfizer -BioNTech), and I decided to go with  Pfizer -BioNTech. For some reason, it just seemed like the best option, but again who knows in the long run. The vaccine shot itself hurt quite a lot which was a surprise because I didn't expect it to be that painful. When it comes to side effects I have experienced so far (it's Monday morning as I'm writing this) are pain at the injection site and muscle pain in my left arm (where the vaccine was injected). Because of that pain, I couldn't raise my hand much. On Saturday, I felt a bit tired and also had that unpleasant bloated feeling, although I hadn't eaten anything that would cause that. On Sunday, my arm didn't hurt anymore and I was again able to raise my left hand above the shoulder. Other than that I'm feeling fine. The outfit I purchased this maxi...

Green skirt and white anchor print top & weekly link-up #230

Meet my favourite outfit from last week - a green skirt and a white anchor print top. Last week started with super hot weather, and so this simple summer outfit featuring a green skirt and a simple white racerback tank top was just perfect. The whole outfit was light and airy and just made me feel like a supermodel :D I have previously shown you my green Holly & Whyte by Lindex skirt paired with a simple black tee , a yellow v-neck sweater , a sleeveless peach top , and a grey sweater . Since it is warm outside, then I wanted to pair the skirt with something white and light. I had a few options, but this white anchor print top from H&M seemed like the best choice. I have previously shown this simple tank top paired with a pair of Esprit jeans and with a pair of s.Oliver denim shorts . I purchased this anchor print top back in 2014, I think, and it used to be one of my favourite summer tops. Although I think, I didn't wear it last year and not even a year befor...

Floral print dress & yellow sandals & weekly link-up #229

A new week has started. That means it's time for an outfit post and weekly link-up. The weather here in Estonia has been hot lately. For many Estonians, anything above 25C is TOO hot. For me, it gets too hot when it's above 30-35C. And that's what it has lately 30C degrees and sunny all the time. This means that for the last few days I have been mostly wearing bikinis or my favorite airy summer dresses. Oh, and I wish we had a pool in our backyard. But since there are not that many hot sunny days here, then that wouldn't be very practical. I guess we should probably buy one of those inflatable pools that we can pack away for winter. Floral print dress and yellow sandals outfit My outfits lately have been simple. I have mostly worn shorts and tops or summer dresses paired with comfy sandals. One of my favourite summer dresses is Emily & Fin Lucy Printed Midi Skater Dress. I ordered this dress from ASOS back in 2015. I have worn it every summer since ...

Big news! I'm going back to work in August! OMG! On the one hand, I'm super excited to go back to work after nine years. But on the other hand, I'm a bit scared. I have been away for 9 years doing other things and enjoying being free and not tied to any work-related responsibilities. And of course my kids. My older one will start grade three in September and my younger one will start his kindergarten journey. To tell you the truth I have no idea how that will go. Will he love it? Will he hate it? How often will he have a runny nose and other health problems, which means that (probably) I will have to stay home with him because I can't take him to the kindergarten if he is not well? If he is like his brother then I will be more at home with him than at the work for the first two years :( Stripes and floral outfit for summer Stripes and floral outfit for summer. The weather here in Estonia has been lovely and so I have been mostly wearing shorts and tankt...

Wear a Dress Day & weekly link-up #226

Image
Happy Monday Tuesday to everyone! Since I was feeling a bit under the weather yesterday, then I'm a little late with my this week's outfit post and weekly link-up. I'm feeling slightly better today and so I hope it's nothing serious. Since the 1st of June is Wear a Dress Day then today I want to show you the newest addition to my wardrobe - a lovely light blue striped Esprit Collection summer dress. I ordered this dress from Booztlet, where it was discounted from 69.99€ to 30.79€. Why did I decide to purchase this dress? Well, firstly it had this lovely fit and flare style and midi length. Secondly, it has pockets. Yay! And finally, it was discounted. The dress fits well and I'm very happy with it. I'm sure I will wear it quite often this summer and you will probably see it here on my blog more than once. This time I accessorized my light blue striped Esprit Collection summer dress with a pair of white Geox wedges, a white Michael Kors...

Checkered coat and striped top & weekly link-up #222

The outfit I'm sharing with you today started with this white and yellow top. I ordered this simple Esprit top from Booztlet a little over a week ago along with another Esprit t-shirt and a summer dress and some new clothes for my boys. There was something about this Esprit striped top that instantly caught my eye and so in my shopping cart it went. I like that this t-shirt gives plenty of ways for styling it and so I can wear it with jeans, skirts, shorts, dressy pants, etc. For this outfit, I paired my new brassy yellow and white striped top with a pair of grey dressy pants . I have had these dressy pants for 10+ years but I haven't worn them very often. And after that, I was out of ideas about what to add to my simple spring outfit. So I went through my wardrobe and stumbled on this grey checkered coat that has also been in my wardrobe for over 10+ years. I used to wear it quite a lot but lately, it has just been sitting in the back corner of my wardrobe...

Hi, lovelies! How was your weekend? Ours was quite usual - we stayed at home. I did some gardening and tried to figure out where the greenhouse would fit the best in our garden, and my kids were enjoying being kids (read: played with neighbors' kids and had fun). I also had planned to work on three upcoming blog posts, but well, that didn't happen because half of my Saturday went to making my blog load faster, and I hope I succeeded in it :D At least, it seemed I did. Pink, blue and floral outfit for Spring My pink, blue and floral outfit is one of those shopping my closet outfit again. The sleeveless floral blouse from H&M landed in my wardrobe a couple of years ago. It was light and airy and had this lovely floral print, plus it was on sale when I purchased it :D I paired my floral blouse with a pair of blue s.Oliver jeans. I bought these a few months ago but this was the first time I wore them. Since it's not summer, yet, then I added a light pink jacket. I acc...

Daylight savings time... Oh, I hate that :( This weekend clocks went forward one hour in Estonia. And the whole day yesterday felt like I'm in a rush, and it seemed like the time flew by so fast. And everything clock and time-related was a huge mess. When I was younger (omg, this sounds like I'm seriously old, but I'm not even 40 yet :D ) the daylight savings didn't bother me at all, but the older I get, the more it bugs me :( Luckily, everything usually gets back on track again in a week or so when my body clock adjusts with the new time. Yesterday, we also put back up the trampoline. Hopefully, the winter is now over for good and since our boys were asking for the trampoline almost daily by now then up it went again and our garden doesn't look that empty anymore. A week ago I showed you a simple light blue and yellow outfit featuring a chiffon maxi skirt paired with a yellow v-neck sweater. Today I have another simple outfit with the same light blue maxi skirt...

Blue Pinafore Dress and Floral Print blouse & weekly link-up #216

Image
*Affiliate links On Friday, I showed you a spring outfit featuring a yellow sweater and light blue maxi skirt . Today I have another outfit for you featuring light blue, but this time it's a blue pinafore dress. Although this blue dress has been hanging in my wardrobe for a few years, then I have hardly ever worn it. In October 2019, I showed you this dress paired with a white lace blouse and white lace flats.  For my Spring outfit I decided to pair my light blue Little White Lies Celeste dress with a floral print blouse. My floral print blouse is from SheIn . I absolutely love this blouse and I wear it quite often. It was one of the very first items I ordered from SheIn back in 2014 and I have never regretted it. This blouse fits well and is nice and airy, and works well with different jeans , skirts and trousers .   I accessorized my outfit with a pair of simple light beige foldable ballet flats and a white watch. I ordered these Yosi Samra flats from Shopbop a few ye...

Yellow and black with a touch of leopard & weekly link-up #215

Happy Monday, lovelies! Another week has gone by. It still looks and feels like winter outside. It does have its positive sides meaning my 8-year-old can still go skiing although the snow is very wet and melting. But other than that I just can't wait for Spring to arrive. I would love love love to go cycling again, but I'll be just jogging and walking till the weather gets better ... Yellow and black outfit with a touch of leopard print Remember the black skirt I showed you in 7 Day Skirt Challenge ? Well, the black skirt is here again! But this time paired with the yellow sweater I showed you a few weeks ago paired with green skirt. I like black paired with different colors because it makes the color pop even more. And one of my favourite color combo is black paired with yellow. There is just something about this combination I love! I accessorized my yellow and black outfit with a pair of leopard print flats. I purchased these like, I think, five years ago but I have wor...

This week, on the 24th of February, Estonia celebrates its Independence Day. The 24th of February is an important day for most Estonians. Usually, around that date, we have all kinds of events to celebrate the Independence Day - military parade, concerts, etc. However this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic most of the events are cancelled. The most important and most anticipated event usually is the President's reception and a gala concert that most of us can enjoy via television. Reception is loved by many because it is always interesting to see all those beautiful gowns and clothes worn by the guests. This year everyone can only enjoy our President's speech and concert via television and there's no reception. And people are asked to celebrate Estonia's 103rd birthday at home. We actually have usually celebrated it at home anyway and so it's not that different for our family. I usually bake a cake for the 24th of February - a cake that my family loves, make some...

Black dress, pink jacket & yellow shoes and weekly linkup

I can't believe it's February! Usually, January seems endless, but this year, it flew by so fast. In just a few days, my hubby and I will celebrate our wedding anniversary. Although a trip to a spa would be nice, then we will probably just celebrate it at home with a glass of bubbly and some cake. And in just two weeks there will be a Valentine's Day. A couple of weeks ago I shared with you my list of Valentine's Day gift ideas . I have also planned to do some Valentine's Day themed nail art and makeup posts but I'm not sure if I will have time for those. And when it comes to the outfit I'm going to show you today then I think it would also work well as Valentine's Day outfit. Little black dress. My today's Valentine's Day outfit started with a little black dress. I ordered this ASOS black bodycon dress from asos.com, I think, 10 years ago or so. I have worn this dress only once or twice. So it has mostly just been there in my wardrobe waitin...

Black A-line Jersey dress and weekly link-up #205

Happy New Year! I hope that your 2021 has started well! A few days ago, it started snowing, and at the moment, we have like a winter wonderland here in Estonia. I hope that the snow will stay for a few weeks because everything seems lighter and happier with snow in the wintertime. And my 8-year-old absolutely loves skiing and sledding. The outfit I guess a more winter-appropriate outfit would suit better for today's outfit post. However, I'm going to show you one of my favourite black dresses instead. I purchased this dress in August 2018. The reason why I bought this black dress was sad - I had to attend my father-in-law's funeral ceremony. I had given birth to my baby #2 just a month before, and unfortunately, I still hadn't lost all the extra weight I gained during the pregnancy. That meant that nothing funeral-appropriate from my wardrobe fitted me right and so I had to purchase something new quickly. I wanted something versatile that I could wear in the future...
