Didriksons Annema Jacket & weekly link-up #220

Image
What I wore this weekend. Okay, actually what I wore on Sunday. I visited my mom on Sunday, and that meant a 160km + 160km drive. I went there with both of my boys, so the hubby had the perfect opportunity to do some work in the garden and around the house without anyone "helping" him all the time. It was good to see my mom and uncle, and my boys enjoyed the trip, too. And of course, I came home with like 7 new different flowers from my mom's garden (she would have given me even more but I didn't have any more room in my car :D ) Anyway the next few days I will have to build some new flowerbeds and plant all my new beauties. The weather was sunny and nice but from time to time there was this chilly cold wind that ruined everything. So it was a perfect opportunity to wear my Didriksons Annema Jacket. Annema is a hybrid jacket. I purchased it last September. I LOVED its red color and its fit and I thought it might be something perfect for spending time outside play...

Shopping my closet OOTD: Purple, black & blue outfit

Image
I went shopping in my closet again. And I stumbled on this purple tee. I purchased this tee in 2008 or 2009, and I used to wear it a lot back then! For the last 6 or 7 years, it has just been sitting in my wardrobe unworn. What still surprises me about this tee is that although it's purchased from a budget-friendly fast fashion store New Yorker then the quality of the tee is very good. This t-shirt is embellished with rhinestones (not that well visible on the photos) and all rhinestones are still there, although, I have washed it many many times in a washing machine using a regular program. So I must say that not everything that is sold in those fast fashion stores has low quality and is meant only for wearing once or twice. Although I was tempted to create a black and purple outfit, I ended up going with blue jeans instead. So for my shopping my closet outfit I paired my rhinestone embellished purple t-shirt with a pair of  light wash ripped cropped skinny jeans from ...

Pink, blue and floral & weekly link-up #219

Hi, lovelies! How was your weekend? Ours was quite usual - we stayed at home. I did some gardening and tried to figure out where the greenhouse would fit the best in our garden, and my kids were enjoying being kids (read: played with neighbors' kids and had fun). I also had planned to work on three upcoming blog posts, but well, that didn't happen because half of my Saturday went to making my blog load faster, and I hope I succeeded in it :D At least, it seemed I did. Pink, blue and floral outfit for Spring My pink, blue and floral outfit is one of those shopping my closet outfit again. The sleeveless floral blouse from H&M landed in my wardrobe a couple of years ago. It was light and airy and had this lovely floral print, plus it was on sale when I purchased it :D I paired my floral blouse with a pair of blue s.Oliver jeans. I bought these a few months ago but this was the first time I wore them. Since it's not summer, yet, then I added a light pink jacket. I acc...

Little Black Dress and Black Blazer & weekly link-up #214

Image
Hi, lovelies! Happy International Women's Day to you all! How have you been?  When last week it felt like Spring here in Estonia, and I showed you my green and yellow outfit for spring, then at the end of the week the weather turned into winter again. On Thursday evening, it started to snow, and so on Friday morning we had -7°C outside and everything was covered with white snow. IF it was November or December I would be super happy and excited ... but in March, not that happy! And I'm really worried about my tulips and narcissus that already had started showing their first leaves. Luckily right now the temperature is just a little below 0°C and I hope that the snow will protect my flowers from the cold.  The snow and snowstorm, and headache also ruined all my great workout plans for the weekend. Luckily I still have 2.5 months left for the first 7 km race I signed up last week. I hope I will achieve some sort of running shape for the race with that time :D  ...

Little Black Dress & Pink Jacket and weekly link-up #210

Happy Monday, lovelies! February is a rather busy month for me. When last week hubby and I celebrated our wedding anniversary, then this week, it's time to celebrate my blog's 10th birthday! I can't believe that beautybymissl.com turns 10 years old on the 11th of February! I remember when I just started my blog - and where I am now. I started blogging ten years ago because, firstly, I was bored - my hubby was away because of his work, and my days basically just consisted of going to work. When I started my blog, then I didn't really have a clear idea of what my blog would be about. I mean there wasn't exactly anything blog-worthy in my personal or work life and therefore I decided to review (mainly) beauty products I used. Why? I hoped that maybe these reviews would be helpful for those who were thinking about buying a certain product. I also followed quite a lot of beauty and fashion blogs back then and so I wanted to start posting makeup looks and outfit posts...

Black dress, pink jacket & yellow shoes and weekly linkup

Image
I can't believe it's February! Usually, January seems endless, but this year, it flew by so fast. In just a few days, my hubby and I will celebrate our wedding anniversary. Although a trip to a spa would be nice, then we will probably just celebrate it at home with a glass of bubbly and some cake. And in just two weeks there will be a Valentine's Day. A couple of weeks ago I shared with you my list of Valentine's Day gift ideas . I have also planned to do some Valentine's Day themed nail art and makeup posts but I'm not sure if I will have time for those. And when it comes to the outfit I'm going to show you today then I think it would also work well as Valentine's Day outfit. Little black dress. My today's Valentine's Day outfit started with a little black dress. I ordered this ASOS black bodycon dress from asos.com, I think, 10 years ago or so. I have worn this dress only once or twice. So it has mostly just been there in my wardrobe waitin...

Black and white winter outfit & weekly link-up #208

Snow is fun and all but if something goes missing in the snow then finding it is a nightmare. My 2.5-year-old has this "blue bunny" that he loves. The blue bunny is actually an empty balloon that kind of resembles a bunny. Anyway, he takes this "bunny" everywhere with him. The bunny also goes outside with him. Last Thursday it was snowing and blowing. I shoveled the snow he was playing near me, climbing on those "snow mountains" and having fun. When we got back inside - the bunny was gone and my toddler was really sad. I did go outside to look for it but nothing. Luckily once my 8-year-old got back from school he found the bunny. Thank God he did because that bunny is very important to my toddler. The outfit My today's outfit isn't something I would wear when playing in the snow with my kids. This time I put together a bit more classic black and white winter outfit. For two weeks in a row, I have shown your comfy weatherproof winter parkas . Tod...

Black jumper dress and wet look leggings & weekly linkup

Image
Last week I showed you an all black outfit and seems that this week I have another black on black look to show you. My outfit was sort of inspired by the snow we had last week. There wasn't much of it but enough for a building a small snowman and spending an extra time for scraping ice off of our car's windshield. This time I wore a black EDC by Esprit jumper dress ( seen here with purple scarf ) and a pair of wet look leggings that I showed you a few weeks ago paired with a beige shirt dress . I added a pair of black knee-high boots (seen here with color-block dress ). These boots are just a perfect example of the different shades of black. I mean these boots are black, however, when compared to the shade of black of my jumper dress and leggings, they look more like dark grey. I accessorized my all black outfit with a thin black belt, semiprecious gemstone bracelet and a necklace. What I wore black EDC by Esprit jumper dress black FemmeLuxe black wet look leg...

Ripped skinny jeans & lace-up bodysuit & Weekly LINKUP #198

Image
It's funny how I sometimes make great plans for the weekend, and then none of the things I planned to do will get done. For example, I planned to put up wallpaper from Photowall this weekend. But then we ended up doing hundred other things and just didn't have time for that, but at least my hubby and my 8-year old went to a cinema and to the pool, and I sorted through half of my closet and I went biking twice. So, I will have to get the wallpaper up over the next weekend because our bedroom is rather bland and badly needs something new. I think a feature wall with a beach-themed wallpaper would be a lovely and relaxing addition to our bedroom. After showing you skirts last week, I decided to go with a pair of skinny jeans this week. I haven't worn these ripped skinny jeans for months now and so I thought why not pair it with a black lace-up bodysuit. Since it is autumn here where I live, then I also added a cardigan and a pair of leather booties. I accessorized my outfit ...

7 Day Skirt Challenge #7dayskirtchallenge & linkup

Image
As promised in my yesterday's outfit post - here come my seven outfits for the #7dayskirtchallenge. This challenge was created by Gail from isthismutton.com . For this challenge, we could either choose one skirt and style it differently or wear a different skirt every day. I decided to choose one skirt and style it differently for each day. I chose a Splendid Fold Over Pencil Skirt. I purchased this skirt four years ago. You have seen it on my blog before paired with a cold shoulder top ; with a simple white top and with a striped top . And to think about it, the  rest of the time, this skirt has just been sitting in my wardrobe waiting for its time. It is a very good skirt because it is made of stretchy jersey and so it's super comfy! If you follow me on Instagram , then you have probably already seen all these looks, but I'll share more details of each outfit in this post. Day 1 of the 7 Day Skirt Challenge So for my first outfit, I paired my simple black pencil skirt...

Black wet look leggings and beige shirt dress & link up

Image
Hi lovelies! My today's outfit is inspired by Gail's (from Is This Mutton? blog) faux leather leggings and mint green jumper outfit . I was tempted to create an outfit featuring my black wet look leggings and light green jumper, but decided to pair my black leggings with this beige chiffon shirt dress instead. I have previously shown you this chiffon shirt dress worn as a dress paired with high heels and paired with black jeggings and flat ankle boots . This time I paired this Blue Vanilla chiffon shirt dress with a pair of black wet look leggings from Femme Luxe. I accessorized my outfit with black Tamaris heeled ankle booties, white Michael Kors watch and Mink & Stone necklace. When it comes to my ankle boots, then I have had them for 9 or 10 years. I used to wear them quite a lot but after having kids I hardly ever wear them. They are comfy, but unfortunately high heels are not the best option when I have to chase my kids around the playground. What I wore ...

White t-shirt and black joggers from Femme Luxe & weekly link up

Image
*PR Sample Happy Monday, lovelies! How have you been? Black and white - a classic combination that you can never go wrong with. I like white t-shirts, tops, blouses and shirts, and black trousers, shorts, leggings, and joggers. Today I want to show you three outfits featuring white t-shirts and black joggers from Femme Luxe. Since it's summer, then I mostly wear white tops, tees, and blouses. And when I'm at home, I'm usually in comfy loungewear . I probably have way too many black joggers and leggings in my wardrobe already, but I just couldn't resist ordering a simple pair of black joggers from Femme Luxe a few weeks ago along with some new t-shirts. Black Cuffed Pocket Detail Joggers - Teddy instantly caught my eye thanks to their simple design. And of course, pockets are always a nice touch. I'm 175cm and normally wear size M (UK12/ EU38/40). However, with these pants, I decided to order size UK 14, and thank god I did because they seem to run small. Plus th...

Mixing prints: Camouflage and stripes

Image
I like camouflage print. Yesterday I wore the newest camouflage piece in my wardrobe - Brown Camo Print Elasticated Trousers - Casandra. These trousers are from femmeluxefinery.co.uk. I paired my camouflage trousers with a white Sweet But Psycho Print t-shirt that is also from Femme Luxe (I have shown it here before paired with jeans and pink jacket). I added a pair of striped slip-on trainers from H&M.
