Striped top and maxi skirt & weekly link-up #217

Daylight savings time... Oh, I hate that :( This weekend clocks went forward one hour in Estonia. And the whole day yesterday felt like I'm in a rush, and it seemed like the time flew by so fast. And everything clock and time-related was a huge mess. When I was younger (omg, this sounds like I'm seriously old, but I'm not even 40 yet :D ) the daylight savings didn't bother me at all, but the older I get, the more it bugs me :( Luckily, everything usually gets back on track again in a week or so when my body clock adjusts with the new time. Yesterday, we also put back up the trampoline. Hopefully, the winter is now over for good and since our boys were asking for the trampoline almost daily by now then up it went again and our garden doesn't look that empty anymore. A week ago I showed you a simple light blue and yellow outfit featuring a chiffon maxi skirt paired with a yellow v-neck sweater. Today I have another simple outfit with the same light blue maxi skirt...

5 Tips on how to add a visual impact with interior design

Image
*Sponsored. All opinions are my own. You have just rented or purchased a new home and are out of ideas on how to make the plain-looking rooms stand out and be memorable? Or you just want to add something new to your current home? Then this post is for you. Here are some ideas on how to add a visual impact with interior design. Photo by Houzlook .com from Pexels Add color and texture with fabrics and textiles Curtains, carpets, throws, or sofa pillows are all great and easy ways to add color and texture to the interior design of your home. For example, I change the decorative covers of our sofa pillows once or twice a year. It's just amazing how different colours and prints instantly change the whole look and feel of the room. Image by StockSnap from Pixabay When you are budget-conscious then buying second-hand sofa pillow covers or curtains is a good option. And if you have a sewing machine then you can always buy the fabric and sew the new covers. Make...

Grey and dusty pink outfit

Image
Seems that Friday's are becoming outfit days :D Although I was tempted to put together another blue-yellow-black outfit for today, then I decided to go with grey and dusty pink instead. Yesterday I did some shopping in my closet and stumbled on these grey skinny jeans. I used to wear these a lot about 5-6 years ago but not that much anymore. I usually wore these skinny jeans with a white loose top . It was just a perfect outfit for spending time with my then 2.5 year old son and plus it was so comfy! I also like these jeans paired with a red plaid shirt , but this time I decided to wear my grey skinny jeans with dusty pink plaid blouse.  When it comes to my dusty pink and grey plaid blouse then it's from H&M. I purchased it a few years ago. It was on sale and it seemed like a shirt that I could wear in many ways. I usually like pieces that I can wear in different ways for more than one outfit. I have shown this blouse to you paired with a black top and blue jeans . Oh,...

Blue Pinafore Dress and Floral Print blouse & weekly link-up #216

Image
*Affiliate links On Friday, I showed you a spring outfit featuring a yellow sweater and light blue maxi skirt . Today I have another outfit for you featuring light blue, but this time it's a blue pinafore dress. Although this blue dress has been hanging in my wardrobe for a few years, then I have hardly ever worn it. In October 2019, I showed you this dress paired with a white lace blouse and white lace flats.  For my Spring outfit I decided to pair my light blue Little White Lies Celeste dress with a floral print blouse. My floral print blouse is from SheIn . I absolutely love this blouse and I wear it quite often. It was one of the very first items I ordered from SheIn back in 2014 and I have never regretted it. This blouse fits well and is nice and airy, and works well with different jeans , skirts and trousers .   I accessorized my outfit with a pair of simple light beige foldable ballet flats and a white watch. I ordered these Yosi Samra flats from Shopbop a few ye...

Spring outfit: Light blue maxi skirt and yellow v-neck sweater

Image
*Affiliate links I promise this is the last outfit with the yellow v-neck sweater for now :D These outfit photos again are from last week. It was one o those sunny days and so wearing my yellow v-neck sweater from Esprit paired with a light blue maxi skirt, and a pair of white Nike trainers seemed like a great idea. Since my yellow sweater has a bit deeper cleavage, then this time, I also wore a simple white tank top underneath it to make it look more modest. When it comes to my light blue chiffon maxi skirt then I have had it for around eight years, I think. I ordered the skirt from Aliexpress because I loved how it looked and it didn't cost a fortune. I imagined I would wear it a lot but that's not how it really went and so I have only worn it a couple of times. Last fall, I went through my boxes of clothes I'm not currently wearing, and so I found the skirt from one of the boxes. At first, I thought about just selling it or donating it but then I changed my mind...

My activewear wish list 2021

Image
*affiliate links Activewear - comfortable, stylish, and not only for the gym. You know, one of my goals for 2021 was to exercise more again. From 2013-2014 I was super active and worked out like crazy! Seriously! Like whenever I had some free time I went out jogging or spent time in group training. For example I absolutely loved BodyPump. And I was in excellent shape. I think I have never been that fit before or after that. At the moment I weigh about 6-9kg more then I weighed back than and I'm just kind of mad at myself that it's so hard to find the time (and sometimes motivation too) to actually get back that shape - to be as fit as I was then. Losing that extra weight is one of my goals. And fitting in some of those beautiful dresses that are sitting in my wardrobe waiting for that miracle is one of those motivations. In a way, it's really weird how I actually manage to get rid of 2-4kg, and then something happens and I'm again back at where I started ... Well, ...

Yellow and black with a touch of leopard & weekly link-up #215

Image
Happy Monday, lovelies! Another week has gone by. It still looks and feels like winter outside. It does have its positive sides meaning my 8-year-old can still go skiing although the snow is very wet and melting. But other than that I just can't wait for Spring to arrive. I would love love love to go cycling again, but I'll be just jogging and walking till the weather gets better ... Yellow and black outfit with a touch of leopard print Remember the black skirt I showed you in 7 Day Skirt Challenge ? Well, the black skirt is here again! But this time paired with the yellow sweater I showed you a few weeks ago paired with green skirt. I like black paired with different colors because it makes the color pop even more. And one of my favourite color combo is black paired with yellow. There is just something about this combination I love! I accessorized my yellow and black outfit with a pair of leopard print flats. I purchased these like, I think, five years ago but I have wor...

Image
Eesti keeles >>> Lakmé TEKNIA White Silver šampoon & juuksemask blondidele juustele And another hair care product review to finish this week. On Wednesday, I shared with you my experience with Garnier Olia ammonia-free permanent hair dye in shade 10.1 Ashy Very Light Blonde. Today I want to introduce you two products I love and that work well for my blonde hair - Lakmé TEKNIA White Silver Shampoo & Mask. TEKNIA White Silver Shampoo and mask are toning and brightening products for blonde, highlights, and white hair. They are promised to give blonde hair back its cool luminosity and revives purity to white hair. Both the shampoo and mask have a vegan formula, and they are paraben- and mineral oil-free. Review: Garnier Olia 10.1 Ashy Very Light Blonde

Image
Eesti keeles >> Garnier Olia juuksevärv toonis 10.1 *Affiliate links When it comes to Garnier Olia permanent hair color, then it isn't a new product for me. In 2015 I shared with you my thoughts on Garnier Olia hair dye in shade 9.0 Light Blonde . Last week I decided to dye my hair again since my colour was quite outgrown. Since my regular hair dye - L’Oreal Preference 11.11 Ultra Light Crystal Blonde, which I have been using for over a year, was sold out, I decided to purchase a different hair dye this time. After reading some reviews I ended up buying Garnier Olia 10.1 Ashy Very Light Blonde permanent hair color. Garnier Olia permanent hair color is made up of a 60% oil blend with natural flower oils to deliver brilliant color and visibly healthier hair that is hydrated, silky, and up to 3x shinier. The hair dye is free from ammonia which means there's no nasty ammonia smell lingering around while you dye your hair. This hair dye is also promised to offer up to 1...

Little Black Dress and Black Blazer & weekly link-up #214

Image
Hi, lovelies! Happy International Women's Day to you all! How have you been?  When last week it felt like Spring here in Estonia, and I showed you my green and yellow outfit for spring, then at the end of the week the weather turned into winter again. On Thursday evening, it started to snow, and so on Friday morning we had -7°C outside and everything was covered with white snow. IF it was November or December I would be super happy and excited ... but in March, not that happy! And I'm really worried about my tulips and narcissus that already had started showing their first leaves. Luckily right now the temperature is just a little below 0°C and I hope that the snow will protect my flowers from the cold.  The snow and snowstorm, and headache also ruined all my great workout plans for the weekend. Luckily I still have 2.5 months left for the first 7 km race I signed up last week. I hope I will achieve some sort of running shape for the race with that time :D  ...
