Black and floral OOTD for summer & Weekly LINK UP #234

Image
July is ending. It has been a busy month filled with my toddler's birthday, making preparations for going back to work in a few weeks, painting our house, expanding my flower beds, and spending time with family and friends. But let's continue with the outfit. A couple of weeks ago I went shopping and although I ended up buying only some new flowers for my flower bed, I stumbled on a cute wrap skirt at the Lindex store. For some reason, I didn't buy it. A few days later I was doing some online shopping at the boozt.com site and stumbled on the same skirt in a different print. The skirt was discounted, and so I didn't think twice when I added it to my shopping cart. Together with the wrap skirt I also purchased black slip-on sandals. I first saw these on the Ecco site and liked the style, however, they were sold out in my size on there, and the only place I found them available in my size was Boozt. I paired my floral wrap skirt with a simple black ta...

Green skirt and white anchor print top & weekly link-up #230

Image
Meet my favourite outfit from last week - a green skirt and a white anchor print top. Last week started with super hot weather, and so this simple summer outfit featuring a green skirt and a simple white racerback tank top was just perfect. The whole outfit was light and airy and just made me feel like a supermodel :D I have previously shown you my green Holly & Whyte by Lindex skirt paired with a simple black tee , a yellow v-neck sweater , a sleeveless peach top , and a grey sweater . Since it is warm outside, then I wanted to pair the skirt with something white and light. I had a few options, but this white anchor print top from H&M seemed like the best choice. I have previously shown this simple tank top paired with a pair of Esprit jeans and with a pair of s.Oliver denim shorts . I purchased this anchor print top back in 2014, I think, and it used to be one of my favourite summer tops. Although I think, I didn't wear it last year and not even a year befor...

Stripes on stripes outfit & weekly link-up #228

Image
Hello, everyone! How have you been? This week I have no big (or small) news :D My older one graduated from 2nd class last week and now he is on vacation mode (read: playing outside with his friends most of the time or asking for extra screen time because there never is enough screen time in his opinion). This week he will go to a summer camp, but it is one of those day camps, which means I drop him off in the morning and then pick him up again in the afternoon. It is a nature-related day camp, and I hope he will enjoy it and learn something new. Last week I showed you a simple outfit where I mixed stripes with floral print and the week before that, I showed you my new Esprit Collection summer dress that was also striped. Well, this week I have another striped outfit to show you but this time it is stripes on stripes outfit. This means that everything I put together is striped :D So this time I paired my striped DL1961 Foster Relaxed shorts with Esprit yellow and...

Pink, blue and floral & weekly link-up #219

Image
Hi, lovelies! How was your weekend? Ours was quite usual - we stayed at home. I did some gardening and tried to figure out where the greenhouse would fit the best in our garden, and my kids were enjoying being kids (read: played with neighbors' kids and had fun). I also had planned to work on three upcoming blog posts, but well, that didn't happen because half of my Saturday went to making my blog load faster, and I hope I succeeded in it :D At least, it seemed I did. Pink, blue and floral outfit for Spring My pink, blue and floral outfit is one of those shopping my closet outfit again. The sleeveless floral blouse from H&M landed in my wardrobe a couple of years ago. It was light and airy and had this lovely floral print, plus it was on sale when I purchased it :D I paired my floral blouse with a pair of blue s.Oliver jeans. I bought these a few months ago but this was the first time I wore them. Since it's not summer, yet, then I added a light pink jacket. I acc...

Grey, blush and blue layers for spring

Image
Happy Friday! Layers for Spring is classic. And so here's my simple casual grey, blush, and blue outfit for Spring. This is one of those shopping my closet outfit again - meaning everything I put together for this look has been in my wardrobe for at least 6 months and more. I started this simple spring outfit with a grey sweater. I have had this Warehouse sweater since 2014. I like its zipper details on the shoulder and patterned sleeves. Since I wanted to use it for layering, then I had to find something to put underneath it. My first thought was actually some sort of longer yellow top. Then, I thought that maybe, I should go with a white top or maybe a white shirt, and then I had this great idea why not use a blush chiffon top . Next, the bottom part of my outfit. Well, I was actually tempted to add a pair of grey skinny jeans to this outfit, but then I thought that maybe this outfit will be a bit too grey and so I decided to go with my favourite pair of blue skinny jea...

Striped top and maxi skirt & weekly link-up #217

Daylight savings time... Oh, I hate that :( This weekend clocks went forward one hour in Estonia. And the whole day yesterday felt like I'm in a rush, and it seemed like the time flew by so fast. And everything clock and time-related was a huge mess. When I was younger (omg, this sounds like I'm seriously old, but I'm not even 40 yet :D ) the daylight savings didn't bother me at all, but the older I get, the more it bugs me :( Luckily, everything usually gets back on track again in a week or so when my body clock adjusts with the new time. Yesterday, we also put back up the trampoline. Hopefully, the winter is now over for good and since our boys were asking for the trampoline almost daily by now then up it went again and our garden doesn't look that empty anymore. A week ago I showed you a simple light blue and yellow outfit featuring a chiffon maxi skirt paired with a yellow v-neck sweater. Today I have another simple outfit with the same light blue maxi skirt...

Grey and dusty pink outfit

Image
Seems that Friday's are becoming outfit days :D Although I was tempted to put together another blue-yellow-black outfit for today, then I decided to go with grey and dusty pink instead. Yesterday I did some shopping in my closet and stumbled on these grey skinny jeans. I used to wear these a lot about 5-6 years ago but not that much anymore. I usually wore these skinny jeans with a white loose top . It was just a perfect outfit for spending time with my then 2.5 year old son and plus it was so comfy! I also like these jeans paired with a red plaid shirt , but this time I decided to wear my grey skinny jeans with dusty pink plaid blouse.  When it comes to my dusty pink and grey plaid blouse then it's from H&M. I purchased it a few years ago. It was on sale and it seemed like a shirt that I could wear in many ways. I usually like pieces that I can wear in different ways for more than one outfit. I have shown this blouse to you paired with a black top and blue jeans . Oh,...

Black and white winter outfit & weekly link-up #208

Snow is fun and all but if something goes missing in the snow then finding it is a nightmare. My 2.5-year-old has this "blue bunny" that he loves. The blue bunny is actually an empty balloon that kind of resembles a bunny. Anyway, he takes this "bunny" everywhere with him. The bunny also goes outside with him. Last Thursday it was snowing and blowing. I shoveled the snow he was playing near me, climbing on those "snow mountains" and having fun. When we got back inside - the bunny was gone and my toddler was really sad. I did go outside to look for it but nothing. Luckily once my 8-year-old got back from school he found the bunny. Thank God he did because that bunny is very important to my toddler. The outfit My today's outfit isn't something I would wear when playing in the snow with my kids. This time I put together a bit more classic black and white winter outfit. For two weeks in a row, I have shown your comfy weatherproof winter parkas . Tod...

White sleeveless turtleneck sweater & weekly link up #203

Image
(Ugly) Christmas sweaters and Christmas themed clothes. It's so strange - I have never needed them or even considered buying any. And this year... I want something Christmas themed :( A dress or top for example would be perfect. I guess it is because this year there are no Christmas parties to attend due to the stupid COVID-19. And so I don't have any good reasons to buy a new party dress(es) and so I just want something comfy and Christmassy to wear at home. I have found some Christmas jumpers but since our home is too warm for a sweater (we keep it at 21°C) then there's really no point to buy something that warm. So it has to be something lighter - like a t-shirt or a cute dress. But let's continue with sweaters. Well, my today's outfit features a white sleeveless turtleneck sweater. I purchased this sweater ten or eleven years ago and I have never worn it on its own. I have always used it for layering. I used to wear it quite a lot when I worked at the kinderga...

7 Day Skirt Challenge #7dayskirtchallenge & linkup

Image
As promised in my yesterday's outfit post - here come my seven outfits for the #7dayskirtchallenge. This challenge was created by Gail from isthismutton.com . For this challenge, we could either choose one skirt and style it differently or wear a different skirt every day. I decided to choose one skirt and style it differently for each day. I chose a Splendid Fold Over Pencil Skirt. I purchased this skirt four years ago. You have seen it on my blog before paired with a cold shoulder top ; with a simple white top and with a striped top . And to think about it, the  rest of the time, this skirt has just been sitting in my wardrobe waiting for its time. It is a very good skirt because it is made of stretchy jersey and so it's super comfy! If you follow me on Instagram , then you have probably already seen all these looks, but I'll share more details of each outfit in this post. Day 1 of the 7 Day Skirt Challenge So for my first outfit, I paired my simple black pencil skirt...

Blue jeans & striped top & white oversized cardigan

Image
Hi, lovelies! How was your week? Mine was quite usual. Last Wednesday, I had had to attend my son's developmental interview at his school. There weren't any big surprises for me, except for the fact that he is not behaving very well at school. On Sunday, my son had a football match, and so I spent around 3-4 hours freezing outside (it was a rainy and cloudy day with the temperature between 6-7°C). Oh, I also changed my blog's hosting provider last week. At the moment everything seems to work as it should be and I hope there won't be any unpleasant surprises coming in the future. Outfit I wore this simple casual outfit to my son's developmental interview. I decided to wear a pair of jeans paired with a simple striped long-sleeved top and a white oversized cardigan. I showed you this cardigan a few weeks ago paired with a striped maxi dress . I added a pair of black wedge booties and two necklaces from Madewell necklace set (see close-up of the necklaces here ). ...

Striped maxi dress and white cardigan outfit + link up

Hi lovelies! How have you been? A story... not outfit related ... A few weeks ago our bathroom scale stopped cooperating with us and so it was time to buy a new one. We (okay, mostly mu hubby) wanted something fancier that would also measure body fat, etc. I was almost ordering Xiaomi Mi Body Composition 2 but for some reason, it just sounded a bit too good to be true for its low price and so, I decided to go with a brand I know - Fitbit. And Fitbit Aria Air seemed like a good choice and somehow it seemed that it will all the things needed. Although, to tell you the truth I don't really care much about those fancy extras. All I need to know is my actual weight. Anyway, so I ordered Fitbit Aria Air and received it last Wednesday. And unfortunately, it seems that it basically only shows you your weight. Oopsy! So I googled and read some posts and comments and seems that I haven't been the only one who thought that this fancy bathroom scale would do more. So I'm glad that I...

Black and floral outfit & weekly link up #190

Image
Hey, lovelies! How have you been? Being stay-at-home mom is great but there are some downsides to it. For example my today's outfit is not the most suitable attire for playgrounds and cleaning up mess. But last week I did some shopping in my closet and so put together this simple black and floral outfit. For my black and floral outfit, I paired a simple sleeveless floral blouse from H&M with a pair of black trousers from Mosaic. I added a black blazer from Reserved. At first, I planned to accessorize my outfit with a pair of high heels but then I decided to wear these black patent flats instead. I have had these flats for five or six years but I have only worn them a few times. I completed my look with a golden Michael Kors watch and two golden necklaces from Happiness Boutique - Y necklace and Layered Bobble Chain Necklace. I like these necklaces because I can wear them together or on their own for different looks. My black and floral outfit H&M floral blou...
