Striped dress and denim jacket & Weekly LINK UP #233

Image
Striped clothing. Well, there used to be time (like 15 years ago or so) when I avoided stripes. Stripes, especially horizontal stripes, were a big NO-NO for me and so there was nothing striped in my wardrobe. Some time later I had to attend a nautical-themed party, and I had to wear something blue-white striped there. So that's how a very first striped piece ended in my wardrobe - a blue and white dress with horizontal stripes :D I don't have that dress anymore, but I have purchased some striped dresses and tees after that. The striped dress and denim jacket outfit, I'm going to show you today features a simple striped summer dress. I purchased this dress three years ago. But until this year, I had worn this dress only a few times. However this summer I have worn it at least once a week. Since the weather today is chilly (after 3-4 weeks of temperatures over 28C, 20C feels sooooo cold) I paired the striped dress with a simple light blue denim jacket. I acce...

Checkered coat and striped top & weekly link-up #222

Image
The outfit I'm sharing with you today started with this white and yellow top. I ordered this simple Esprit top from Booztlet a little over a week ago along with another Esprit t-shirt and a summer dress and some new clothes for my boys. There was something about this Esprit striped top that instantly caught my eye and so in my shopping cart it went. I like that this t-shirt gives plenty of ways for styling it and so I can wear it with jeans, skirts, shorts, dressy pants, etc. For this outfit, I paired my new brassy yellow and white striped top with a pair of grey dressy pants . I have had these dressy pants for 10+ years but I haven't worn them very often. And after that, I was out of ideas about what to add to my simple spring outfit. So I went through my wardrobe and stumbled on this grey checkered coat that has also been in my wardrobe for over 10+ years. I used to wear it quite a lot but lately, it has just been sitting in the back corner of my wardrobe...

Grey and dusty pink outfit

Image
Seems that Friday's are becoming outfit days :D Although I was tempted to put together another blue-yellow-black outfit for today, then I decided to go with grey and dusty pink instead. Yesterday I did some shopping in my closet and stumbled on these grey skinny jeans. I used to wear these a lot about 5-6 years ago but not that much anymore. I usually wore these skinny jeans with a white loose top . It was just a perfect outfit for spending time with my then 2.5 year old son and plus it was so comfy! I also like these jeans paired with a red plaid shirt , but this time I decided to wear my grey skinny jeans with dusty pink plaid blouse.  When it comes to my dusty pink and grey plaid blouse then it's from H&M. I purchased it a few years ago. It was on sale and it seemed like a shirt that I could wear in many ways. I usually like pieces that I can wear in different ways for more than one outfit. I have shown this blouse to you paired with a black top and blue jeans . Oh,...

Casual black and yellow outfit & weekly fashion linkup

Image
Happy Monday, lovelies! How have you been? Black dresses. Today I want to show you a casual black dress that has been in my wardrobe for 2 years, and I have never worn it. To tell you the truth, I had even forgotten that I had it, but a few weeks ago I found it from my closet shelf along with two other dresses, and yesterday was the day when I finally wore this black Vero Moda dress. This Vero Moda dress has just the perfect length for everyday wear and it's also comfy. AND it has pockets! Yay! Since the dress is plain and simple then I decided to add a pair of yellow lace up flats and a light blue denim jacket. I accessorized my simple casual outfit with a layered necklace from Happiness Boutique and Siselly semiprecious stone bracelet . OOTD: What I Wore To The Zoo & link up

Image
Last week we spent a lovely day at Tallinn Zoo. It was the third time visiting Tallinn Zoo for our older son and the first time for our 2-year old. Tallinn Zoo was founded on 25 August 1939. Their first exhibit was lynx Illu. Later the lynx also became Tallinn Zoo's emblem animal. Today, Tallinn Zoo houses over 11 000 animals representing more than 500 species. If you happen to visit Estonia some day and you like zoos, then I think that Tallinn Zoo is definitely worth a visit. Since the weather was good, then it was just pure joy to walk around, see different animals, and enjoy some ice cream and coffee. Although my 2-year old is very good at walking and walking up to 2.5km is not a problem for him, then 6 hours on his little feet wasn't an option and so I used Baby Tula ring sling for carrying him when he got tired. I would have normally just used a stroller but since we didn't have it with us then the ring sling had to do, and it worked perfectly. Tallinn zoo is c...

#shoppingmycloset OOTD: Red Shoes & Black and Grey outfit and LINK UP #172

Image
This weekend we went to the movies again. This time my son, had to choose between two movies: Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs and Abominable. After watching the trailers of both movies he, to my great surprise, chose Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs. Well, it was an interesting version of Snow White and I actually enjoyed the movie and so did my 7-year old.  Onto my outfit. My today's outfit belongs to the shopping my closet category because everything I wore is from my closet. Some of these items I have shown you several times already and some only once or twice. For this simple casual outfit, I paired grey ONLY skinny jeans with black BB Dakota lace top. I added a knitted cardigan (seen here with white top and blue jeans) and here paired with blue jeans and blue t-shirt) and a pair of red Ecco shoes. At first, I planned to wear a pair of boots with this look but because of the movie, we went to see I just felt like wearing a pair of red shoes would be a great idea. Although,...

Simple Fall Outfit & LINKUP #171

Image
It's Monday and that means that it's time for the outfit related post and weekly linkup. Today I'm going to share with you my outfit from Saturday when we went to the movies with my older son. Although at first, my son wanted to see Playmobil: The movie then after seeing the trailer of Boonie Bears: Entangled Worlds we ended up seeing that one instead. Well, it's really weird how with some movie or animation trailers you pretty much get the idea of what the movie is about. But with this one, I wasn't really sure what to expect. Okay, adventure but what else? And even in the middle of the movie, I wasn't sure what is the whole point of this. But in the end, I actually liked it. And although it's for kids then I think there is also something for the parents to think about. Now onto my outfit. Although, I'm not the one who would really take or share a bathroom selfie, then here it comes because I didn't have the time for taking proper outfit shots. ...

Shopping My Closet Fall OOTD & LINK UP

Image
In March I had to throw away my favourite pair of flat ankle boots - Clarks Merryn Trail ankle boots . It was a very sad day for me because those  boots were just so comfy and I could easily wear them with different outfits. Last Tuesday I had to go to Tallinn because it was time for the regular car maintenance. And so I had this wonderful idea that since I will have a couple of hours of free time I will go and buy myself a new pair of flat ankle boots because the weather here in Estonia is getting colder and colder and therefore I can't wear my trainers and ballerinas forever. Well, it was a great plan and after visiting three shopping centres and a plethora of shops that sell footwear, I gave up. There were so many flat ankle boots to choose from but I didn't really LOVE any of them. Once I got back home I did some online shopping and ended up ordering a pair of Tamaris flat ankle boots. They should arrive tomorrow (on Tuesday) and I hope that they will be perfect (read: co...

Casual maternity outfit & weekly link up

Image
Hi, beauties! It's Monday and that means it's time for an outfit post and weekly link up. Although the last couple of days the weather has been very good here in Estonia, then last week it wasn't that nice. The simple casual maternity outfit I'm showing you today is from last week when it wasn't that warm and sunny. For my simple casual maternity outfit I paired my favourite pair of Mamalicious maternity jeans with my new maternity tee from H&M. I bought that tee from local H&M store a week ago. I went there to buy a couple of H&M Mama t-shirts. I didn't really plan to buy anything black, however, this tee was on sale and cost only 4€ and so I grabbed it along with another tee. I added my favourite Only leather jacket. This is not maternity jacket which means I can  only wear it if I don't plan to zip it :D To add some colour to my maternity outfit, I decided to wear a pair of red Ecco shoes. My simple casual maternity outfit H&M M...

Yellow lace-up flats & weekly link up #103

Image
The easiest way to add colour to a boring outfit is wear colourful and eye-catching accessories. I purchased this Only maxi dress back in 2012 because I needed a new maxi dress and this one seemed like a good choice. Plus, it was on sale and actually available in my size and I like it's material. I haven't worn this maxi dress for a couple of years now, but yesterday I was shopping my closet and so I stumbled on this dress. Since the weather yesterday was simply perfect then I decided to pair it with denim jacket . Since my outfit at that point was kind of blueish-greyish then I decided to add colour to my outfit with with yellow lace-up flats, yellow cross body bag and Daniel Wellington watch. Beautiful jewellery adds the final touch to every outfit. When it comes to jewellery then there are so many options - bracelets, necklaces, delicate pieces and statement jewellery etc. A month ago or so I was introduced to Lily Charmed - a brand that offers unique and affordable charm inspired jewellery with meaning as well as beauty. Lily Charmed was developed by Lucy Lee in 2011 and it now offers a range of silver and gold-plated quality charm jewellery including bracelets, earrings, cufflinks, necklaces & more. I was give an opportunity to choose something from Lily Charmed and after browsing their online store I decided that this delicate Lily Charmed necklace with a butterfly charm is just perfect for me. This 24ct Gold Plated Sterling Silver butterfly necklace from Lily Charmed arrived in a beautiful box with a personalised message :) I LOVE when brand or seller takes this extra step and adds this kind on message with my order - it is simple, but it just makes everyth...
