Hello August & weekly link-up #235

Image
Goodbye July, hello August. I can't believe that is August here. My 3-year old will start kindergarten in two weeks. And I will be back at work, after nine years, in just one week. The weather lately has been rainy, windy, and a bit too chilly for my liking. This means that although I try to wear my summer dresses and clothes as much as possible, I'm pairing them with cardigans, sweaters, and jackets. Oh, I also just purchased a new winter parka - Didriksons Leona :D It was discounted from 400€ to 192€ and so it came home with me :D My today's outfit is for me one of those transitioning into Autumn looks. So or this casual outfit I paired a simple pair of Guess skinny jeans with a striped Esprit t-shirt (seen here paired with grey pants and here with striped shorts ) and black Blank Denim vegan leather & ponte jacket. Since it is still summer then I decided to wear my black Ecco slip-on sandals (seen here paired with floral wrap skirt and black ...

Black and floral OOTD for summer & Weekly LINK UP #234

July is ending. It has been a busy month filled with my toddler's birthday, making preparations for going back to work in a few weeks, painting our house, expanding my flower beds, and spending time with family and friends. But let's continue with the outfit. A couple of weeks ago I went shopping and although I ended up buying only some new flowers for my flower bed, I stumbled on a cute wrap skirt at the Lindex store. For some reason, I didn't buy it. A few days later I was doing some online shopping at the boozt.com site and stumbled on the same skirt in a different print. The skirt was discounted, and so I didn't think twice when I added it to my shopping cart. Together with the wrap skirt I also purchased black slip-on sandals. I first saw these on the Ecco site and liked the style, however, they were sold out in my size on there, and the only place I found them available in my size was Boozt. I paired my floral wrap skirt with a simple black ta...

Striped dress and denim jacket & Weekly LINK UP #233

Striped clothing. Well, there used to be time (like 15 years ago or so) when I avoided stripes. Stripes, especially horizontal stripes, were a big NO-NO for me and so there was nothing striped in my wardrobe. Some time later I had to attend a nautical-themed party, and I had to wear something blue-white striped there. So that's how a very first striped piece ended in my wardrobe - a blue and white dress with horizontal stripes :D I don't have that dress anymore, but I have purchased some striped dresses and tees after that. The striped dress and denim jacket outfit, I'm going to show you today features a simple striped summer dress. I purchased this dress three years ago. But until this year, I had worn this dress only a few times. However this summer I have worn it at least once a week. Since the weather today is chilly (after 3-4 weeks of temperatures over 28C, 20C feels sooooo cold) I paired the striped dress with a simple light blue denim jacket. I acce...

Last week my younger son turned three. Oh wow! The time flies so fast. It seems like yesterday when he was a tiny (ok not that "tiny") baby and now he is a big boy. Loving helicopters and plains, big trucks , cars, and knows very fell different car brands. Like when we go on our daily walks, he recognizes 99% of the cars he sees. Like wow! When it comes to his birthday present, then, in a way it was super easy, because he knew he wanted a big white Audi. But that didn't mean that he wanted a simple toy car. Oh no - he wanted the electric battery-powered ride-on car- the one he could drive around and turn the steering wheel. Since those aren't cheap then I kind of hoped that maybe he would change his mind, but no - he is one little stubborn dude. We actually planned to get him a white Audi Q8 but since the white one was sold out in most places or had an estimated delivery time of 1+months, then we decided to buy him a white Audi R8 Spider. He was and still is ...

How have you been? Last Friday, I received my first dose of the COVID vaccine. I had a choice between three vaccines (Janssen, Moderna, and Pfizer -BioNTech), and I decided to go with  Pfizer -BioNTech. For some reason, it just seemed like the best option, but again who knows in the long run. The vaccine shot itself hurt quite a lot which was a surprise because I didn't expect it to be that painful. When it comes to side effects I have experienced so far (it's Monday morning as I'm writing this) are pain at the injection site and muscle pain in my left arm (where the vaccine was injected). Because of that pain, I couldn't raise my hand much. On Saturday, I felt a bit tired and also had that unpleasant bloated feeling, although I hadn't eaten anything that would cause that. On Sunday, my arm didn't hurt anymore and I was again able to raise my left hand above the shoulder. Other than that I'm feeling fine. The outfit I purchased this maxi...

Green skirt and white anchor print top & weekly link-up #230

Image
Meet my favourite outfit from last week - a green skirt and a white anchor print top. Last week started with super hot weather, and so this simple summer outfit featuring a green skirt and a simple white racerback tank top was just perfect. The whole outfit was light and airy and just made me feel like a supermodel :D I have previously shown you my green Holly & Whyte by Lindex skirt paired with a simple black tee , a yellow v-neck sweater , a sleeveless peach top , and a grey sweater . Since it is warm outside, then I wanted to pair the skirt with something white and light. I had a few options, but this white anchor print top from H&M seemed like the best choice. I have previously shown this simple tank top paired with a pair of Esprit jeans and with a pair of s.Oliver denim shorts . I purchased this anchor print top back in 2014, I think, and it used to be one of my favourite summer tops. Although I think, I didn't wear it last year and not even a year befor...

Floral print dress & yellow sandals & weekly link-up #229

A new week has started. That means it's time for an outfit post and weekly link-up. The weather here in Estonia has been hot lately. For many Estonians, anything above 25C is TOO hot. For me, it gets too hot when it's above 30-35C. And that's what it has lately 30C degrees and sunny all the time. This means that for the last few days I have been mostly wearing bikinis or my favorite airy summer dresses. Oh, and I wish we had a pool in our backyard. But since there are not that many hot sunny days here, then that wouldn't be very practical. I guess we should probably buy one of those inflatable pools that we can pack away for winter. Floral print dress and yellow sandals outfit My outfits lately have been simple. I have mostly worn shorts and tops or summer dresses paired with comfy sandals. One of my favourite summer dresses is Emily & Fin Lucy Printed Midi Skater Dress. I ordered this dress from ASOS back in 2015. I have worn it every summer since ...

Stripes on stripes outfit & weekly link-up #228

Hello, everyone! How have you been? This week I have no big (or small) news :D My older one graduated from 2nd class last week and now he is on vacation mode (read: playing outside with his friends most of the time or asking for extra screen time because there never is enough screen time in his opinion). This week he will go to a summer camp, but it is one of those day camps, which means I drop him off in the morning and then pick him up again in the afternoon. It is a nature-related day camp, and I hope he will enjoy it and learn something new. Last week I showed you a simple outfit where I mixed stripes with floral print and the week before that, I showed you my new Esprit Collection summer dress that was also striped. Well, this week I have another striped outfit to show you but this time it is stripes on stripes outfit. This means that everything I put together is striped :D So this time I paired my striped DL1961 Foster Relaxed shorts with Esprit yellow and...

Big news! I'm going back to work in August! OMG! On the one hand, I'm super excited to go back to work after nine years. But on the other hand, I'm a bit scared. I have been away for 9 years doing other things and enjoying being free and not tied to any work-related responsibilities. And of course my kids. My older one will start grade three in September and my younger one will start his kindergarten journey. To tell you the truth I have no idea how that will go. Will he love it? Will he hate it? How often will he have a runny nose and other health problems, which means that (probably) I will have to stay home with him because I can't take him to the kindergarten if he is not well? If he is like his brother then I will be more at home with him than at the work for the first two years :( Stripes and floral outfit for summer Stripes and floral outfit for summer. The weather here in Estonia has been lovely and so I have been mostly wearing shorts and tankt...

Wear a Dress Day & weekly link-up #226

Image
Happy Monday Tuesday to everyone! Since I was feeling a bit under the weather yesterday, then I'm a little late with my this week's outfit post and weekly link-up. I'm feeling slightly better today and so I hope it's nothing serious. Since the 1st of June is Wear a Dress Day then today I want to show you the newest addition to my wardrobe - a lovely light blue striped Esprit Collection summer dress. I ordered this dress from Booztlet, where it was discounted from 69.99€ to 30.79€. Why did I decide to purchase this dress? Well, firstly it had this lovely fit and flare style and midi length. Secondly, it has pockets. Yay! And finally, it was discounted. The dress fits well and I'm very happy with it. I'm sure I will wear it quite often this summer and you will probably see it here on my blog more than once. This time I accessorized my light blue striped Esprit Collection summer dress with a pair of white Geox wedges, a white Michael Kors...

Pale Pastel Yellow and Black OOTD & weekly link-up #224

Another week has gone by. When last week I mentioned that the weather had been really nice lately then unfortunately last week was far from nice - rainy, windy and not warm at all. Last week also was Eurovision. I used to be very excited about it always stayed up late to see all semi-finals and finals, then this year I didn't watch it live but just the replay the next day. I'm a bit sad that Estonia's song ( Uku Suviste - The Lucky One ) didn't make it to the final, but oh well, you can't always win. I'm not exactly thrilled about the winning song this year ( Måneskin - Zitti E Buoni ). It was okay but not something I would listen to very often. My favourites from this year were Finland ( Blind Channel - Dark Side ), Norway ( TIX - Fallen Angel ), Malta ( Destiny - Je Me Casse ), Sweden ( Tusse - Voices ). With Norway's song, the funny thing is that when I heard it for the first time in the semi-final - I didn't like it at all, but then when I h...

Skechers Flex Appeal 3.0, OOTD & weekly link-up #224

Hi, lovelies! Last week turned out to be quite busy because I ended up participating in two challenges. One is Bob Proctor's 5 Day Formula For Financial Freedom and another one is Abundance Challenge by Better You Academy. I just love both of these challenges but since they ended up being pretty much at the same time then it has been a challenge to stay on top of things and I still have some home assignments that need to be completed. Also, Bob Proctor's training added some more books to my reading list. So now I want to quickly finish the book about the Baltic stock market, I have been reading about a month, so I could start reading "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. Also, my greenhouse is now ready and I'm just so happy because my husband did an excellent job with it. I just love how it turned out. I already planted two tomatoes and two sweet peppers into my greenhouse. And this week I will buy some more tomatoes and some cucumbers. Last we...

Always Higher Heights To Reach ... & weekly link-up #223

Image
Hi, lovelies! how have you been? I hope you all had an amazing weekend. Mine was pretty usual. I hoped that my new greenhouse would be finished over the weekend but unfortunately that didn't happen. Oh well, I hope this week it will get ready for plants. The outfit Over a year ago I ordered a simple white Daisy Street t-shirt from ASOS . It was a really simple basic white tee but what I loved about it was the slogan on it: " There are always higher heights to reach, believe you  can and you’re half way there. " Since the weather today and this week should finally be warm and nice then I decided to wear this white tee. Pairing it with a pair of jeans or leggings would be too boring and so I decided to add this lovely white hole-embroidered skirt   instead. I added a pair of white lace flats and a light blue denim jacket . I accessorized my outfit with a simple gold necklace and my Fitbit Blaze smart fitness watch. What I wore Daisy...

Checkered coat and striped top & weekly link-up #222

Image
The outfit I'm sharing with you today started with this white and yellow top. I ordered this simple Esprit top from Booztlet a little over a week ago along with another Esprit t-shirt and a summer dress and some new clothes for my boys. There was something about this Esprit striped top that instantly caught my eye and so in my shopping cart it went. I like that this t-shirt gives plenty of ways for styling it and so I can wear it with jeans, skirts, shorts, dressy pants, etc. For this outfit, I paired my new brassy yellow and white striped top with a pair of grey dressy pants . I have had these dressy pants for 10+ years but I haven't worn them very often. And after that, I was out of ideas about what to add to my simple spring outfit. So I went through my wardrobe and stumbled on this grey checkered coat that has also been in my wardrobe for over 10+ years. I used to wear it quite a lot but lately, it has just been sitting in the back corner of my wardrobe...

Striped Maxi Dress and Vegan Leather Jacket & weekly link-up #221

Image
Hi, lovelies! How have you been? It's Monday and that means it's time for an outfit post and weekly link-up. My today's outfit is again one of those "I went shopping in my closet" outfits. I haven't worn a maxi dress since fall and so I decided it's time to go through my maxi dresses and put together an outfit featuring one. I debated between three dresses but decided to go with this navy and white striped maxi dress. Back in October, I showed this maxi dress paired with two different white cardigans and yellow lace-up flats. And back in 2016, I showed it to you paired with a denim jacket and a pair of white flats. I had several ideas on how to style it for my Spring outfit, but for some reason, my vegan leather and ponte jacket seemed like a great choice. I added a pair of ankle booties and a layered necklace set. Maybe because the weather yesterday reminded me more of a winter than Spring (it was snowing at some point yesterday an...
