Here are seven ways that you can get out of your way this coming year.  Photo by cottonbro from Pexels Stop Comparing Yourself To Others It's easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing and feel like you need to keep up. Accept What You Cannot Change You can't change everything about yoursel...

Tips for Sticking to a Healthy Diet

Image
*Sponsored So you love food. But you’d also love to lose some of that excess weight. Could it ever be possible to achieve? Admittedly, it can be a tough mission. But with a clear goal, strong will and determination, and these simple, but effective tips, you can be on your way to finally achieve your long-desired goal.  Photo by Daria Shevtsova from Pexels Learn Substitution No, this does not involve a math equation, at least not so much. Substitution simply means replacing the usual food items or ingredients you use with something healthier or less in caloric content.  For example, if you love ice cream, you don’t have to take it out of your diet completely. All you need to do is make sure to get one that has fewer calories/carbs/sugar or whatever metric you’re looking at. If you like fruits, go for the fresh ones instead of the dried version. Dried fruits are heavier in calorie content and do not leave you as full as fresh ones do. As for bread, y...

However, to be diverse and stand-out from the rest, you may need to combine...

Renewing Your Vows And Maximizing A Small Wedding Reception

Image
Collateral Benefits Whether you’re having a chic country wedding , or you’re just renewing your vows, you’re going to want to make the event memorable, and you’re going to want to avoid overspending if possible. Of course, at special events, it’s generally not a bad idea to go “over-the-top”. But it is possible to have your cake and eat it, too! All you’ve got to do is apply a little strategy to the event. How many guests will there be, what kind of accommodations will or won’t be involved, where and when will the event take place, and what kind of vendors will you involve? Will you have a bar, catering, dessert buffets, dancing, photographers, DJs, bands, or comedians? Will the event be recorded? Even if you’re just renewing vows, it’s a wise idea to book such vendors as far out in advance as you can. And this doesn’t just include event vendors, either. Consider other vendors, like those who’ll be providing makeup services, or dresses. For bridesmaid dresses and bridesmaid gow...

The Stroller Story / Kärujutud - Gesslein F6 & S4 & Hauck Citi

Image
So... the strollers. Well if you are a parent then you have probably used at least one stroller or pram or buggy or travel system in your life :D In my last week's pregnancy update post I mentioned then I bought Hartan Topline S for my little Junior #2. In my today's post, I decided to share with you a little roundup of the strollers we used with little mr.R. The very first stroller we bought was Gesslein F6. Buying stroller 6 years ago was actually kind of a headache because nor I or my dear husband had any previous experience with strollers and so I didn't really know what I want. I did read reviews and searched forums, but that didn't really help much. So we just ended up visiting almost every store in Tallinn that sold prams to hopefully stumble on THE one. At one store I actually found the one that I liked - I think it was some sort of Teutonia - I liked its design and features and I think that Teutonia actually finally made me realise what I really wanted. An...

Pregnancy update #1 / Beebipostitus #1

Image
Soooo those who have lately read my posts have maybe noticed that little mr.R will become a big brother at the end of June. I haven't written a post dedicated to my pregnancy, yet, so here comes a little roundup my first 22 weeks :) Our baby (currently called Junior #2 because we haven't figured out yet what his name should be :D ) is a planned baby. I know many want to have their kids close in age so they can grow up together (and hopefully play together more), however, I wanted to have baby #2 once little mr.R is independent enough for his age. We actually planned to have a baby year ago, but unfortunately, that pregnancy ended with a miscarriage at around 9 weeks. :( I did debate wether to write about that here, on my blog, but since it hurt so bad back then, then I just decided not to mention it. When it comes to current pregnancy then it has been great so far. I'm one of those lucky people who doesn't know what morning sickness is. :D However, unfortunately, I...

Random chit-chat, New Year's resolutions & plans

Image
I haven't done chit-chat posts for ages and so here's a small roundup of 2017 and my New Year's resolutions and plans. Well, let's start this post with a little roundup of 2017 and year of the Rooster. Although, the year of the Rooster hasn't ended, yet, then I just can't wait for it to be over. The year 2017 wasn't very lucky one for me. In January 2017 I had a miscarriage and that kind of set the tone for my whole year. I thought about writing a blog post about that... I even started it several times, but just hit delete after a paragraph or two ... Some great projects ended unexpectedly and I was and still kind of am a bit sad about that. Especially one project that just ended without any explanation and when I hadn't heard from them and emailed and asked about it then I got a reply that oh sorry we forgot to email you about the budget cut and that the project ended :( The last week wasn't the best either because I received some bad news that o...

Why I love online shopping and why I prefer PayPal

Image
I love shopping! There were times when I preferred going to the stores, however, after becoming a mom, online shopping seems like an easy way out. With the help of super fast internet providers and plans, like windstream internet , I can continue what I love doing, in the comfort of my own home. Although there are some downsides to online shopping, like not being able to touch, see, try on the item, then, in my opinion, there's still a plenty of positive sides. Why I prefer online shopping? I can do it whenever or wherever. In the middle of the night or while sunbathing at the beach? No problem! I like that I can spend hours and hours on the website and browse the selection of the products. Add them to the cart and then change my mind and easily remove them from my shopping cart. Better deals! Seriously! I have always gotten better deals while shopping online. Plus there are often sales or extra discounts. I can easily compare prices. Just yesterday I was looking f...

My 11 Favourite Travel Tips

Image
* Sponsored Although I haven't travelled the world, then at least once a year we try to have at least a one-week holiday abroad. Last summer we went to Crete and in the fall we actually had a 3-week trip to the US. We started from New York, visited Philadelphia, Atlantic City, Washington DC and then drove to Miami Beach. I absolutely loved that trip and I hope I can visit the US again soon! There are many travel tips and everyone has their favourite ones and today I decided to share with you some of my favourite travel tips. Be Flexible and Stay Positive Sometimes things just won't go as planned. Flights might get cancelled or delayed and there's really not much you can do about that. Just be patient and don't get stressed out. Choose the Best Means of Travelling There are different ways to get from one place to another. Some people love to travel by train, some prefer the bus, and for some, the only way to travel is by plane. Commercial...
