Yesterday, I posted 2020 Blogging year in review and now it’s time to share with you my favourite beauty products from last year. Some of these products were sent to me as PR Samples, some I purchased myself. Products mentioned in this post are in random order.
Essence Pretty Natural Hydrating Foundation is a product from Essence fall/winter 2020 collection. Pretty Natural foundation was developed together with essence consumers and especially tailored to their wishes. The texture of the foundation feels nice, creamy, and light. The foundation blends out easily, evens my skin tone and lets me achieve a natural makeup look.
Bourjois Healthy Mix BB Cream is an ultra-lightweight cream that is hydrating like skincare and covers like a foundation. Healthy Mix BB Cream is easy to apply and blend into my skin. The BB cream feels moisturizing, just as promised, and also hides some imperfections, and makes my skin tone look even. I like that this BB cream lets me achieve this “my skin but better” look.
CRYSTAL Body Deodorant Mineral Deodorant Roll-On – Unscented is free from Aluminum Chlorohydrate and parabens. CRYSTAL deodorants are not tested on animals, and they are Leaping Bunny certified. I like that the Unscented deodorant has no scent, and it doesn’t irritate my skin. I was pleasantly surprised that it keeps the unpleasant odour away for up to 24hours!
Nurme Rose Facial Foam has a lovely rose scent and airy texture. This facial foam helps to remove my makeup and impurities, leaving my skin clean and smooth. It removed easily BB creams and some lighter foundations and a regular mascara. Unfortunately it’s not very effective for removing waterproof makeup. Rose Facial Foam suits well for my normal to dry skin. Btw! Nurme is an Estonian natural cosmetics brand 😉
Although I don’t use highlighters every day then for my great surprise I ended up using Essence Choose Your Glow Highlighter Palette quite often. The palette contains three beautiful highlighter shades that give you a perfect glow for every situation. I like all three highlighters in this palette because they don’t leave me looking like a disco ball. All three shades are also buildable which means you can use just a little for subtle look or more for more intense one.
Schauma Dry Shampoo My Darling for Normal Hair is easy to use and gives my hair a cleaner appearance. The dry shampoo makes my hair look and feel thicker and adds volume. Also, my hair smells nice.
Essence HELLO, GOOD STUFF! product range came out in fall 2020. HELLO, GOOD STUFF! products contain at least 90% natural ingredients and it is good for nature, for your skin and for you! I had the opportunity to try three products from this new range – a face mist, a face serum and a tinted beauty cream. Although I actually liked all three products, then my most favourite from out of these three is Essence HELLO, GOOD STUFF! Tinted Beauty Cream. The tinted beauty cream has a pleasant scent and it feels lightweight. It’s easy to apply and blend it. This cream makes small imperfections less visible and evens my complexion. I like that this tinted day cream lets me achieve a natural makeup – that is perfect for everyday wear. It also keeps my skin moisturized all day.
Artnaturals Tea Tree Body Wash is cruelty-free and formulated without nasty ingredients. The shower gel is enriched with Tea Tree, Peppermint, and Rosemary Oil. Artnaturals Tea Tree Body Wash has a lovely minty scent and it lathers very well. In my opinion, it also works well as a bubble bath. After using this this shower gel my skin feels clean and moisturized and not tight and dry.
Elisheva & Shoshana Aloe Vera+ Deep Cleansing Detox Scalp Treatment Shampoo gently and deeply cleanses the scalp from dandruff, grease and product buildup without irritating the skin. It helps to normalize scalp’s greasiness, improves microcirculation, strengthens the roots of the hair, and helps brittle and/or damaged hair grow better. The shampoo makes my hair clean – squicky clean. And my scalp feels clean too! I like that after using this deep cleansing shampoo, my hair looks and feels more voluminous.
And let’s finish this post with a mascara – Essence bye bye panda eyes! smudge-proof volumizing & defining mascara. This mascara adds quite a lot length to my lashes. The mascara clumps a little but only just a little. Although this mascara is not waterproof then it lasts on my lashes surprisingly well. It doesn’t smear or flake and I didn’t end up with panda eyes either while using it. I like that it’s easy to remove this mascara. And basically, just warm water actually got the job done.
