The Autumn/Winter 2015 season is upon us, bringing with it exciting new fashion trends. It’s time to put away the vests, shorts and bikinis of summer and give your wardrobe an overhaul ready for dark nights and chilly weather. So what are the key fashion items for this season?
Kickflare Trousers
Although we haven’t quite seen the back of skinny jeans yet, the more forgiving kickflare is back for Winter 2015. Channelling the masculine trend for women’s fashion this season, the gentle kickflare is stylish and yet infinitely practical. Ideal for balancing out a more curvy silhouette, this key trend should be worn with a stylish pair of block heel boots for a true catwalk look, and can be adapted for any occasion from smart office wear to casual jeans for the weekend.
Long-Length Skirts
If you prefer skirts for your Winter wardrobe, this year we are going back to the 1970s, in a range of classic fabrics such as suede, tweed and even chiffon for a floaty appeal. Short skirts need to be consigned to the back of the wardrobe – this season it’s knee-length or longer, and pencil skirts need to take a back seat in favour of A-line and pleated styles.
Chunky Knitwear
Anyone feeling the chill already will be glad that chunky knitwear is seeing a comeback. From long-length knitted coats to keep you cosy both indoors and while on the go, to gorgeous blanket wraps for expert layering – ideal for those Autumn days with their unpredictable weather, there is a huge range to choose from this season. One of the key looks is the tabard jumper, a stylish sleeveless knit that works brilliantly with the latest kickflare jeans.
Floaty Dresses
Keeping in line with the 1970s trend, the fashion world has seen a move away from tight-fitting dresses and has opted instead for a boho chic floaty look. Again, as with this season’s trend in skirts, the essential length is to the knee or longer, but the silhouette is feminine and sleek, with a hint of sheer. Floral prints are all the rage, worn with chunky knits, patent leather belts, and over the knee boots.
The Blazer
This office essential has been given an overhaul for Autumn and has been brought out of the workplace and into the realm of casuals. This year’s blazer has been given a long-line look and a narrower silhouette for an elegant shape that works well with a long-length A-line skirt during the working week, and with jeans or Chinos at the weekend. Available in a range of colours and luxurious fabrics, this key item is just the thing for cooler Autumn days.

Investing in this season’s latest looks needn’t be out of reach when you shop using a pay monthly credit catalogue. Boasting a huge selection of top trends from all the best names in fashion, you can buy on finance and spread the payments affordably over several months, making it easier than ever to look and feel your best this Autumn.
