However, it is essential to choose a color that you will not get bored of or one which fades quickly in sunlight as this would be expensive to maintain, especially if it were black! It's best to take on the task yourself but make sure you leave enough time for adequate drying, so your family doesn't end up sleeping under a tarpaulin overnight!  Carry Out General Maintenance and Repairs Carrying out general maintenance and repairs will help keep your home in top condition. In addition, you can save money on professional services by taking care of many common problems yourself. For example, you may be able to unclog a drain overflow or fix an electr...

6 Ways to Recover from a Hangover

Image
A hangover can be the body’s way of letting you know you need to rehydrate and fast. If your hangover is accompanied by recurrent bouts of diarrhoea or vomiting, you may b...

Hello August & weekly link-up #235

Image
Goodbye July, hello August. I can't believe that is August here. My 3-year old will start kindergarten in two weeks. And I will be back at work, after nine years, in just one week. The weather lately has been rainy, windy, and a bit too chilly for my liking. This means that although I try to wear my summer dresses and clothes as much as possible, I'm pairing them with cardigans, sweaters, and jackets. Oh, I also just purchased a new winter parka - Didriksons Leona :D It was discounted from 400€ to 192€ and so it came home with me :D My today's outfit is for me one of those transitioning into Autumn looks. So or this casual outfit I paired a simple pair of Guess skinny jeans with a striped Esprit t-shirt (seen here paired with grey pants and here with striped shorts ) and black Blank Denim vegan leather & ponte jacket. Since it is still summer then I decided to wear my black Ecco slip-on sandals (seen here paired with floral wrap skirt and black ...

Review: Skin Academy Pure Cleansing Facial Wash

Image
Time for a face wash review ! Skin Academy Pure Cleansing Facial Wash landed in my shopping cart a few months ago. Skin Academy is a new brand for me but this facial cleanser seemed like something I might like and so I decided to give it a try. Skin Academy Pure Cleansing Facial Wash is a gentle cleanser that helps to remove makeup and impurities. It contains Aloe Vera and Green Tea Extract which help to soothe the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and looking radiant. The cleansing gel is formulated without parabens and fragrance, and it is suitable for sensitive skin. Skin Academy Pure Cleansing Facial Wash comes in a simple tube that holds 150ml of product. The gel itself is rather runny and so usually too much product comes out of the tube. The cleansing gel has...

Black and floral OOTD for summer & Weekly LINK UP #234

Image
July is ending. It has been a busy month filled with my toddler's birthday, making preparations for going back to work in a few weeks, painting our house, expanding my flower beds, and spending time with family and friends. But let's continue with the outfit. A couple of weeks ago I went shopping and although I ended up buying only some new flowers for my flower bed, I stumbled on a cute wrap skirt at the Lindex store. For some reason, I didn't buy it. A few days later I was doing some online shopping at the boozt.com site and stumbled on the same skirt in a different print. The skirt was discounted, and so I didn't think twice when I added it to my shopping cart. Together with the wrap skirt I also purchased black slip-on sandals. I first saw these on the Ecco site and liked the style, however, they were sold out in my size on there, and the only place I found them available in my size was Boozt. I paired my floral wrap skirt with a simple black ta...

Image
A big move is a big deal. And big deals usually mean big stress, big hassles, and big drama. Looking for ways to help your loved ones unwind after all that? Here are some strategies that should help: Prioritize Living Stability The hardest part of moving is often the sense of loss that comes with it. It’s hard leaving friends and familiar places behind, and it can result in family members feeling unmoored and directionless. The thing they need most right now is a sense of stability, of safety and security. In other words, if you just moved to Toronto, wait a while before you start looking at Calgary homes for sale . It’s important for your family to feel like their new house belongs to them, that it’s a place worthy of planting their roots. Enjoy Familiar Pleasures One good way to diminish the sensation of disconnect that comes with moving is to find out what hasn’t changed and focus on that. If any of your family members has a familiar pleasure they can indulge in...
