Review: Skin Academy Pure Cleansing Facial Wash

Image
Time for a face wash review ! Skin Academy Pure Cleansing Facial Wash landed in my shopping cart a few months ago. Skin Academy is a new brand for me but this facial cleanser seemed like something I might like and so I decided to give it a try. Skin Academy Pure Cleansing Facial Wash is a gentle cleanser that helps to remove makeup and impurities. It contains Aloe Vera and Green Tea Extract which help to soothe the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and looking radiant. The cleansing gel is formulated without parabens and fragrance, and it is suitable for sensitive skin. Skin Academy Pure Cleansing Facial Wash comes in a simple tube that holds 150ml of product. The gel itself is rather runny and so usually too much product comes out of the tube. The cleansing gel has...

Black and floral OOTD for summer & Weekly LINK UP #234

Image
July is ending. It has been a busy month filled with my toddler's birthday, making preparations for going back to work in a few weeks, painting our house, expanding my flower beds, and spending time with family and friends. But let's continue with the outfit. A couple of weeks ago I went shopping and although I ended up buying only some new flowers for my flower bed, I stumbled on a cute wrap skirt at the Lindex store. For some reason, I didn't buy it. A few days later I was doing some online shopping at the boozt.com site and stumbled on the same skirt in a different print. The skirt was discounted, and so I didn't think twice when I added it to my shopping cart. Together with the wrap skirt I also purchased black slip-on sandals. I first saw these on the Ecco site and liked the style, however, they were sold out in my size on there, and the only place I found them available in my size was Boozt. I paired my floral wrap skirt with a simple black ta...

Ways to Help Your Family Relax After a Big Move

Image
A big move is a big deal. And big deals usually mean big stress, big hassles, and big drama. Looking for ways to help your loved ones unwind after all that? Here are some strategies that should help: Prioritize Living Stability The hardest part of moving is often the sense of loss that comes with it. It’s hard leaving friends and familiar places behind, and it can result in family members feeling unmoored and directionless. The thing they need most right now is a sense of stability, of safety and security. In other words, if you just moved to Toronto, wait a while before you start looking at Calgary homes for sale . It’s important for your family to feel like their new house belongs to them, that it’s a place worthy of planting their roots. Enjoy Familiar Pleasures One good way to diminish the sensation of disconnect that comes with moving is to find out what hasn’t changed and focus on that. If any of your family members has a familiar pleasure they can indulge in...

Striped dress and denim jacket & Weekly LINK UP #233

Image
Striped clothing. Well, there used to be time (like 15 years ago or so) when I avoided stripes. Stripes, especially horizontal stripes, were a big NO-NO for me and so there was nothing striped in my wardrobe. Some time later I had to attend a nautical-themed party, and I had to wear something blue-white striped there. So that's how a very first striped piece ended in my wardrobe - a blue and white dress with horizontal stripes :D I don't have that dress anymore, but I have purchased some striped dresses and tees after that. The striped dress and denim jacket outfit, I'm going to show you today features a simple striped summer dress. I purchased this dress three years ago. But until this year, I had worn this dress only a few times. However this summer I have worn it at least once a week. Since the weather today is chilly (after 3-4 weeks of temperatures over 28C, 20C feels sooooo cold) I paired the striped dress with a simple light blue denim jacket. I acce...

Make a Great First Impression with High Quality Business Cards

Image
*Sponsored. PR Sample Before starting blogging back in 2011, I didn't consider business cards important for me as a blogger. I mean, I was just a lady behind a blog and so why would I need them? For me, back then business cards were something used by businesswomen/businessmen so their clients could easily have their contact details. Fast forward to 2013 and I ordered my first business cards that I could share at blog-related events. This way it's easy to connect with other bloggers and instead of writing down names, emails, or telephone numbers on a piece of paper or on a napkin, I can just give out my card. Business cards show that you are serious about your business (in my case about my beauty, fashion & lifestyle blog ). A well-designed business card will catch attention and leave an impression. But to leave a positive impression you need a good quality business card. I loved my old business cards from 2013. But when I looked at them now they didn't ...

Fit and flare summer dress and trainers & Weekly LINK UP #232

Last week my younger son turned three. Oh wow! The time flies so fast. It seems like yesterday when he was a tiny (ok not that "tiny") baby and now he is a big boy. Loving helicopters and plains, big trucks , cars, and knows very fell different car brands. Like when we go on our daily walks, he recognizes 99% of the cars he sees. Like wow! When it comes to his birthday present, then, in a way it was super easy, because he knew he wanted a big white Audi. But that didn't mean that he wanted a simple toy car. Oh no - he wanted the electric battery-powered ride-on car- the one he could drive around and turn the steering wheel. Since those aren't cheap then I kind of hoped that maybe he would change his mind, but no - he is one little stubborn dude. We actually planned to get him a white Audi Q8 but since the white one was sold out in most places or had an estimated delivery time of 1+months, then we decided to buy him a white Audi R8 Spider. He was and still is ...
