Floral blouse and yellow skirt & weekly link-up #218

April 5, 2021 By Miss L

A new month has begun! Yay! Yesterday, I shared with you my March 2021 recap, and as it turned out that yellow and light blue were dominating my March outfits.

yellow skirt and floral blouse

And I realized that this Spring I’m really drawn to yellow. Like whenever I’m online shopping I tend to check out yellow things first. Just a few days ago I was ordering new clothes for my boys, and of course I had to check if there was something for me too and I found this really cool yellow vegan leather jacket. I added it to my cart. But then I changed my mind because I don’t exactly NEED it. Then I changed my mind again because, nope, it looks just so perfect for Spring 2021. And so I was debating back and forth … and ended up not getting it. I still regret not ordering it, but I do believe that maybe it either wasn’t THE ONE for me, or maybe I can score it soon at a better price.

Yesterday was a lovely sunny day and so when I thought about an outfit to show you I remembered that I have this yellow skirt from ASOS. I purchased this skirt in 2015 and I have shown it here on my blog once in a Spring outfit post.

Yesterday, I was tempted to put together an all-yellow outfit with a yellow v-neck sweater, yellow lace-up flats, and this skirt 🙂 But I ended up wearing a floral blouse instead. I showed this blouse to you two weeks ago paired with a light blue pinafore dress. And as I mentioned in that post  – this floral blouse is versatile and goes with so many items.

I accessorized my outfit with a pair of Tamaris Mary-Jane heels, Michael Kors gold watch and a statement necklace from Happiness Boutique. I have had these Tamaris shoes 10+ years. They are so comfy and I used to wear them quite a lot.

What I wore

  • floral print blouse
  • ASOS Tall Skirt With Drop Peplum Hem
  • Tamaris shoes
  • Michael Kors watch
  • Happiness Boutique statement necklace

Leelo, this outfit is so pretty! I love the pastel yellow on you and the floral top is perfect for a beautiful spring time feel. I think you would look amazing in a yellow moto jacket! You will find the right one for you, I’m sure! I hope you have a fabulous week!

Yellow is definitely the color of Spring 2021 so far. And while it’s not a favorite of mine, I’ve found ways to bring into my outfits. Your yellow skirt is fabulous and I would absolutely like to see how you would style an all yellow look.

I used to hate yellow in my outfits when I was a teen but the older I get the more I like it 🙂
