Pink and black Valentine’s Day outfit & weekly link-up #211

pink and black Valentine's Day outfit

Hi, lovelies! How have you all been? I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

Our Valentine’s Day was quite usual, except we had some delicious cake and I wore another pink and black outfit 😀 Ok, actually, we also went sledding with the kids, and I went jogging afterward. I ran 5.04km in 39 minutes. On Saturday, I also went jogging. I ran 3.2km, and it took me 26 minutes. Since I haven’t been jogging for over a year then I’m in a bad shape, but I hope that in a few months I can participate in some running races again.

In my January recap post, I complained that I still haven’t found a perfect replacement for the Endomondo fitness tracker. And unfortunately, I’m still looking for something that would be as good as Endomondo was 🙁 At the moment, I’m still debating between Sports Tracker, Strava, and Map My Run. I mean, on the one hand, they all have their good sides but on the other hand, they just lack some other features. Do you have any recommendations for a good fitness tracker?

Okay, but let’s continue with my pink and black Valentine’s Day outfit now. When last week I showed you a little black dress paired with a pink jacket then this time it’s time for black skirt and pink blouse.

I went shopping in my closet again. And this time I found this pink short-sleeved shirt with buttons and frill detail in one of the boxes of clothes I have put away. I purchased this blouse from Esprit about 11 or 12 years ago. Back then I wasn’t a huge fan of pink, especially this shade of pink, but somehow I fell in love with this blouse and ended up buying it. I usually paired it with black and so my yesterday’s outfit was no exception – I paired the blouse with black again.

This time I wore it with a black Splendid Fold Over Pencil Skirt that was featured in the 7 Day Skirt Challenge. I accessorized my pink and black Valentine’s Day outfit with  a pair of Vagabond wedge shoes, Fossil Cross Charm watch, and a necklace from Madewell necklace set.

  1. That pink is a lovely colour on you and such a nice top with the skirt 🙂 I like the gold charm watch too! 🙂

Thank you for the link up 🙂

Hope that your week is off to a nice start 🙂 Sorry I can’t help with fitness tracker recommendations – i don’t use one.

  2. I love this bright pink on you, Leelo! It is a beautiful blouse with all the frills and it looks fantastic with a simple black pencil skirt. I do not use a fitness tracker so I have no recommendations for you on that one. How wonderful that you have gotten back to running! I am starting some new fitness routines today for a 21 day challenge. Wish me luck on that! I’m going to need it. Haha.

    1. I have been thinking about maybe participating in some workout challenge – but at the moment I haven’t found the perfect one I would like.

  3. I have been getting back to running too but only 2 miles at a time which is about 3.2 km. Doing a mile in about 10 to 11 min. Trying to make sure not to strain myself since I hurt my shins last year in the summer. But it sure feels good to run!
Love this shade of pink on you and it looks great paired with black!
