Little Black Dress & Pink Jacket and weekly link-up #210

Happy Monday, lovelies! February is a rather busy month for me. When last week hubby and I celebrated our wedding anniversary, then this week, it’s time to celebrate my blog’s 10th birthday! I can’t believe that beautybymissl.com turns 10 years old on the 11th of February!

I remember when I just started my blog – and where I am now. I started blogging ten years ago because, firstly, I was bored – my hubby was away because of his work, and my days basically just consisted of going to work.

When I started my blog, then I didn’t really have a clear idea of what my blog would be about. I mean there wasn’t exactly anything blog-worthy in my personal or work life and therefore I decided to review (mainly) beauty products I used. Why? I hoped that maybe these reviews would be helpful for those who were thinking about buying a certain product.

I also followed quite a lot of beauty and fashion blogs back then and so I wanted to start posting makeup looks and outfit posts too. However, I was actually scared to show myself on the blog. I don’t even know why anymore, but it did feel scary. So it felt safer to just create nail art and do product reviews, and share pics of places I visited.

I shared my very first outfit post – labeled with “outfit” in July 2012 when I was pregnant with my first one.  The outfit I showed in that post was super simple and one of the outfits I wore very often because it was comfortable. After that one post, there was almost a year break with “outfit” posts.

Little Black Dress & Pink Jacket

Last week I showed you an outfit featuring a little black dress with embellished neckline paired with a pink jacket and yellow flats. My today’s outfit is again a little black dress and a pink jacket, but this time it’s simple plain black bodycon dress with a bright pink jacket.

I have shown both the dress and jacket on their own but not styled together. This time I decided to put them together and add  a pair of black patent heels and a statement necklace from Happiness Boutique.
