I had great plans for the weekend – to work out, to work on my upcoming blog posts, etc. Well, that didn’t go as planned.
On Saturday, I woke up with a headache and that kind of set the tone for the whole day. I made pizza for lunch. Since I haven’t made pizza from the scratch for a few years now then it took more time than I had planned.
After lunch, I went for a walk. I planned to walk around 7 km but I ended up walking 9.2 km instead. Not bad! But after I got home I felt so exhausted and cold for some reason and so I went straight to bed and slept an hour. Once I got up it was 4 pm and so I did worked a bit on my blog posts but I really had hoped to get more done.
On Sundays, I usually write my blog post for Monday and take outfit photos. Since we went sledding with our boys then that’s where we took the outfit photos too. So today I’m going to show you my warm comfy winter outfit.
My Comfy Weatherproof Winter Outfit
So far this winter, I have worn either this black Didriksons Eline winter parka or burgundy Didriksons Tanja parka, which is actually a mid-season parka. In my opinion, Didriksons Eline is a good parka. It’s warm (but not the warmest from Didriksons selection) and has this classic look and style. It also has reflective details on the sleeves which are a must since I live in Estonia and it gets dark around 4 pm in winter-time.
Since we spent a few hours outside with the kids, then I also wore my ski pants. These ISC Ilves-Extra (now known as ISC-Marinepool) ski pants are, I think 12 years old already. I have been thinking about buying new ski pants, but so far I still haven’t found the perfect ones. I guess I will have to keep an eye on all those sales going on right now and hopefully, I will find a new pair.
My hat is from Breden Kids. Breden Kids is a super popular Estonian brand that mostly makes hats-scarves-clothes for kids, but the last few years they have added some pieces for the grownups too. I purchased my hat two years ago. It has a merino lining and so it’s nice and warm.
My black gloves are from The North Face Apex+ Etip Gloves. I purchased these a month ago because I needed new warm gloves that would also be waterproof and windproof.
And my boots. My Lowa Zephyr GTX Mid TF boots are not winter boots but with a warm insole and merino wool socks, they are also wearable in winter-time. Of course, if the temperature drops below -10 then I will probably need warmer boots. I have had this pair of Lowa Zephyr boots for three years and I have worn them a lot – almost daily. These boots are comfy and so far I don’t have any negative thing to say about them.
Although my 2.5-year-old is very good at walking and he can walk 2 to 3 km with no problems then with heavy winter clothes and boots he is perfectly happy in his Thule Urban Glide 2 stroller. And oh, I love this stroller! I purchased it two years ago and I have never regretted my decision to buy it. Yes, it’s not the most budget-friendly all-terrain stroller then I think it’s worth every cent I paid for it. It’s great for jogging. It’s great for long walks. It’s great in the snow or sand. It runs smoothly and I love that I can push it with just one hand without any problems.
