Black and white winter outfit & weekly link-up #208

January 25, 2021 By Miss L

Snow is fun and all but if something goes missing in the snow then finding it is a nightmare. My 2.5-year-old has this “blue bunny” that he loves. The blue bunny is actually an empty balloon that kind of resembles a bunny. Anyway, he takes this “bunny” everywhere with him. The bunny also goes outside with him. Last Thursday it was snowing and blowing. I shoveled the snow he was playing near me, climbing on those “snow mountains” and having fun. When we got back inside – the bunny was gone and my toddler was really sad. I did go outside to look for it but nothing. Luckily once my 8-year-old got back from school he found the bunny. Thank God he did because that bunny is very important to my toddler.

The outfit

My today’s outfit isn’t something I would wear when playing in the snow with my kids. This time I put together a bit more classic black and white winter outfit. For two weeks in a row, I have shown your comfy weatherproof winter parkas. Today it’s time to share with you an outfit featuring a classic wool-blend coat. I showed you this black coat from Mosaic back in November. Back then, I styled the coat with a black pencil skirt and a black high-neck jumper.

This time, I wore the coat with a white knitted mini jumper dress from Femme Luxe and a pair of black Vince Ponte Pants. I love those pants so much! I purchased these from Shopbop a long time ago. The time when I was part of Shopbop’s influencer program. Oh, I loved those times because Shopbop was so easy to work with. Unfortunately, at some point my numbers dropped, and so I was cut from the program 🙁

I believe that when one door closes, a new one will open somewhere else, but so far, unfortunately, another door that would be as good as that one was, hasn’t opened yet.

Anyhow, back to my black and white winter outfit. I styled my look with black knee-high boots, a pair of black leather gloves, a black & white scarf, and a white & black hat from Breden Kids. My leather gloves are from H&M. And this is actually my second pair of H&M leather gloves. I purchased my first pair from H&M in 2018 and since I have worn that pair a lot then during Black Friday sales I bought a new pair.

My white and black Breden Kids hat is my very first Breden Kids hat. I purchased this merino lined hat back in 2015 and I wear it every winter quite often. I like its simple minimalist look and the fact that I can wear it with different outfits. And when it comes to my scarf – then this is from my trip to Sapin back in 2011. I had been looking for this kind of scarf and found it from a shop near our hotel. The scarf was only 2.90€ and so I bought it. My hubby was sure that the scarf won’t probably last long because it was that cheap. But here we are – the scarf is still perfectly fine and I wear it rather often during the colder months.

I like the black and white pairing: I don’t think I have done anything like that this winter. Ideas, ideas! Glad you found the “bunny”. I could see how things could get lost in the snow!

Yes, if something gets lost in the snow then you have to wait for the snow to melt. And that can take a long time.

You always look so chic in your outdoors outfits! I’m glad the bunny turned up. My husband lost the lens cap of his new camera out in the snow today (we had a light drop over the weekend). He was out running so had to retrace his steps to find it. So I know what you mean about finding things in the snow!

Yes, finding things in a snow isn’t easy. I hope your husband found the lens cap.

You look so cozy and stylish. Isn’t wonderful that a black and white combo is such a classic and works in any season?
