2021 is finally here. Will it be better than 2020? Who knows! All we can do is hope for a better year and that the whole COVID-19 mess would finally end, and we could turn back to our normal daily lives.
Honestly, at the moment it seems, that it’s not going to happen any time soon. Yes, there are several COVID-19 vaccines out already, but will they work as hoped? Will there be any side-effects? Let’s face it – I think at this moment no-one really knows what will happen.
On the last day of 2020, I shared with you my blogging year in review and yesterday I introduced you some of my favourite beauty products I used in 2020. And now it is time to share some of my goals and resolutions for 2021 with you.
My resolutions for 2021
One of the most important goals for me is to increase my income from blogging. Last year wasn’t a very good one and so it’s would be pretty much impossible to make the ends meet if I only had to live on my blogging income. One of my biggest hopes and goals is therefore to increase my blog traffic, gain new readers and this way hopefully grow my income.
This also means that I will have to start posting more often. There were times when I posted daily. And then there have been times when I haven’t posted anything for weeks. One of my last year’s goals was to post three times a week, but oh well, that didn’t really go as planned. So my goal for this year is also to post at least three times a week.
I’m planning to continue with the weekly outfit and link-up posts every Monday. On Wednesdays and Fridays, I’ll try post beauty, review or lifestyle-related posts. And if I have extra time then I may post on other days too. I hope everything will go as planned 🙂
I will also have to work on my budget and savings. I’m thinking about giving the 52-week money challenge a try because it seems an easy and fun way to save up some money. But we’ll see how that will go.
Eating healthy and exercising
Also, an important goal for me is to eat healthy again. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t eat junk food daily (and not even every week!) but I just feel 2020 really somehow had that negative impact on my eating habits and also on exercising, and therefore it’s time to cut added sugars and unhealthy fats from my daily menu.
Of course, I also will try to be more active again and work on my workout routine. In a perfect world, I would love to go jogging/walking as often as I did in 2013-2014 and 2018-2019. But we’ll see. At least I started my 2021 with some exercise and had a lovely 50minute walk with my 8-year-old yesterday.
And linked with the previously mentioned eating healthy goal is also a weight loss goal. I have gained a few extra kilograms that bother me, and so I just have to do it.
Decluttering my computer and phone
I take a lot of photos – product photos for review posts, photos of my makeup looks and nails, outfit photos, photos of my boys, just random photos of the stuff I like. You probably guess what that means, right? My computer and also my phone is full of photos but not all of them are really worth keeping. Therefore one of my resolutions for 2021 is finally to go through all those files and folders and remove unnecessary photos or documents on my computer and phone.
So these were some of my goals for 2021. What are your goals or resolutions for this year?
