As promised in my yesterday’s outfit post – here come my seven outfits for the #7dayskirtchallenge. This challenge was created by Gail from isthismutton.com. For this challenge, we could either choose one skirt and style it differently or wear a different skirt every day. I decided to choose one skirt and style it differently for each day.
I chose a Splendid Fold Over Pencil Skirt. I purchased this skirt four years ago. You have seen it on my blog before paired with a cold shoulder top; with a simple white top and with a striped top. And to think about it, the rest of the time, this skirt has just been sitting in my wardrobe waiting for its time. It is a very good skirt because it is made of stretchy jersey and so it’s super comfy!
If you follow me on Instagram, then you have probably already seen all these looks, but I’ll share more details of each outfit in this post.
Day 1 of the 7 Day Skirt Challenge
So for my first outfit, I paired my simple black pencil skirt with a simple striped top from H&M. I accessorized my look with a pair of white Nike court trainers, Daniel Wellington watch, and a layered necklace from Happiness Boutique (better pics of the necklace here).
Day 2 of the 7 Day Skirt Challenge
For my second outfit, I paired my black skirt with a long sleeve floral blouse from Shein. I received this blouse back in 2014 when I had just started collaborating with Shein. I loved this floral blouse back then and I still like it a lot! This time I accessorized my outfit with a pair of white Ecco shoes, a white Michael Kors watch, and layered necklace from Happiness Boutique.
Day 3 of the 7 Day Skirt Challenge
For my third outfit, I paired my black skirt with a simple camouflage tee. I added a pair of black Chelsea boots, a golden watch, and a long necklace.
Day 4 of the 7 Day Skirt Challenge
For my fourth look, I paired my simple black skirt with a green spaghetti strap top with a lace detail and a teal cardigan. I added a pair of black heels and a statement necklace.
Day 5 of the 7 Day Skirt Challenge
Day 5 was a challenge! Since it is autumn then a jumper seemed like a good idea. So for my fifth outfit, I styled my simple black pencil skirt with a navy and white striped top. I added a pair of black wedge booties, a wrap pearl necklace, and a golden watch.
Day 6 of the 7 Day Skirt Challenge
For my sixth outfit I decided to style my black skirt with a simple plaid shirt. I added a pair of light old rose color slouch booties, a gold watch, and a layered necklace.
Day 7 of the 7 Day Skirt Challenge
I decided to finish this challenge with a black tee with a slogan that just describes me so well – “Nothing to Wear”. Like, I have a wardrobe full of clothes and I still feel like I have nothing to wear! I accessorized my last outfit with a statement necklace and Fossil Cross Charm watch.
So these were my seven outfits with the same skirt. I guess, in a way, styling a black skirt is relatively easy. But on the other hand, for this challenge, I wanted to style a skirt that I hardly ever wear. Which one of these looks did you like the best? Let me know in the comments!

You showed so well how versatile a black skirt is. So many great looks. My favourites were the camo top and plaid top /slouchy boots.
