Custom made formal maternity maxi dress from JJ’s House

February 19, 2018 By Miss L

*PR Sample. All opinions are my own!

Being pregnant is nice and I enjoy it 🙂 Going to formal events is also great, but doing it while pregnant might be a challenge because it’s so difficult to find a beautiful floor-length formal maternity maxi dress.

JJ’s House is one of those sites that I love browsing through from time to time because they carry gorgeous gowns for weddings, formal events, proms etc. JJs House was founded in 2007 and it is the global leading online retailer for budget-friendly wedding gowns, special event dresses, wedding party dresses etc. From JJsHouse.com, you can also find accessories and shoes, that will make your outfit look perfect.

When we got married three years ago then I would have loved to order a custom-made wedding dress from JJ’s House, but since I needed the dress in just 2 weeks then it seemed like a huge risk to take and so I just decided to buy a suitable dress and call it a day. About a month ago I realised that I need a beautiful long maxi dress in March and so it was time to start browsing online stores that carry formal maternity dresses. I checked out a few and then stumbled on JJ’s House again. There were some really good options, but at first glance, I didn’t really see any maternity gowns. So, I used the search function on JJ’s House site to find maternity dresses and for my pleasant surprise, I found them. And they looked gorgeous 🙂 They looked so pretty that I actually had hard, time choosing what to order 😀

I decided to go with Empire Square Neckline Floor-Length Chiffon Maternity Bridesmaid Dress With Ruffle Beading Sequins. It’s available in 14 different sizes (don’t forget to carefully study the size chart!) and it can also be custom made. After emailing JJ’s House and discussing options, I decided to go with the custom made option, just to make sure my formal maternity maxi dress fits as expected. When it comes to the colour of my maternity gown, then it was so difficult to choose because there were 30+ shades to choose from. I decided to go with a “safe-colour” for me – royal blue.

JJ’s House dresses are made in China and shipped out from there. I placed my order and confirmed everything with them on the 24th of January. I didn’t really expect to get the dress less than a month later, but it actually arrived on the 7th of February – in just 2 weeks! That was surprising! The dress was nicely packed. I was scared that maybe it would be all crinkled, but out of the box, it actually looked fine.

The quality of JJs House custom made formal maternity maxi dress is very good. The dress is fully lined and I haven’t found any crooked seams or loose threads so far. The sequins and beads on the dress are all there, but even if I should lose a sequin or two then luckily a small minigrip bag with extra sequins and pearls came with my maternity gown.

As I mentioned, my floor-length chiffon maternity dress was custom made and I’m happy to say that it fits perfect! The length is just right and although the bust part of my dress looked so big at first, then it actually fits and feels comfortable – not loose, not tight – just right 😉

Overall my experience with JJs House has been amazing! Starting from the communication with their support to the delivery time and the quality of the dress – i’m pleased with all. Please note, although my dress came in just 2 weeks, then I recommend not leaving your dress order to the last moment. I recommend ordering your dress at least month or two before your big event 😉

That link up is a nice idea — I’ve come across blogger fairs before I think it’s a similar idea. I enjoyed your post and (researching) checked out a few in the link up too. It’s a case of the community helping each other.

Ohhh 🙂 such a simple and pretty, yet sparkly dress (and it’s even modest)! I’ll bookmark that store for when I get married 🙂

You choose well with your custom made maternity dress. The colour is the key I think from it being just a “pretty” dress to becoming a stunning garment on you. The colour was chosen well and its rich hues suit you well. That link up idea is a good one, I must look into it some more.

I don’t mean to sound rude but I can’t believe this was shipped from China by the way it looks. Seems like it was bought from the high street.

I had so many formal events when pregnant, after living in Baby doll dresses for the first two of my pregnancies, It all changed when I found a maternity shop for my last two pregnancies. It made formal events so much more enjoyable
