Maternity style #1 & weekly link up #133

January 8, 2018 By Miss L

Hi, beauties! Happy Monday to you all and welcome to Beauty by Miss L weekly link up #133! With my this week’s outfit post I will also start my series of maternity style outfit posts because I’m 15 weeks pregnant 😛

I’m one of those “lucky” girls who basically start gaining weight as soon as they get pregnant. It happened with my first son 6 years ago and it has happened again. I started wearing maternity jeans like a month ago or so because my regular jeans were a bit too tight. They were okay if I was just walking or standing up, but it was very unconvenient to sit in them :S Luckily my at least half of my regular tops and shirts still look quite okay 😀

blush top dark blue jeans

The outfit post I’m showing you today features a pair of Citizens of Humanity maternity jeans, H&M chiffon shirt (paired here with blue jeans, here with leather jacket and here with black pants). I accessorized my maternity outfit with Billie & Blossom statement necklace, Dorothy Perkins bracelets, Michael Kors watch and shoe boots from ASOS.

What I wore

  • H&M chiffon top
  • Citizens of Humanity Avedon Skinny Maternity Jeans from Shopbop
  • ASOS shoe boots
  • Michael Kors watch
  • Billie & Blossom statement necklace
  • Dorothy Perkins bracelets

Congratulations! That top is perfect for maternity wear. I love how young moms can wear regular clothes for most of their pregnancy because of the styles today.

It’s always nice to find a nice pair of maternity pants!! I love this blush top with them, too!

Yes, it is! But finding a nice and good fitting pair can be difficult especially if you order them online (as I did).

Your jeans look great hun and so do you. I remember when I was pregnant (years ago) I used to tie a hair band through the button hole and over the button, therefore making the waist slightly bigger. Thanks for the link-up Hun. Jacqui

I actually thought about that hair band trick but I decided that maternity jeans are probably a better option 🙂

Your jeans look great! You’d never know they were maternity so you could wear them after baby has arrived too! x

    Congratulations! You look great! 🙂

Maternity jeans were my favourite, I was so sad when they didn’t stay up any more after baby when my bump went away. They are so comfortable, I wore them as soon as I could for my pregnancies, haha!

Hope that the first week of 2018 went well for you and that this week is off to a good start too!

Congratulations on your news! I have heard amazing things about how comfy maternity jeans are—I know several women who’ve kept wearing them long after their babies were born! 😉
