Lirene Physio-micellar cleansing gel review

February 21, 2017 By Miss L

I started using Lirene Physio-micellar cleansing gel back in last July, I think. However, since I wasn’t very fond of it back then and I also got a better facial cleanser, then I just put (and forgot) it on my bathroom shelf. In December I found it again and since I had run out of all facial washes, I decided to give it a new chance.

Lirene Physio-micellar cleansing gel

Lirene Physio-micellar cleansing gel is a soap-free non-foaming and extra mild gel. Its innovative gel formula effectively cleanses face and eyes. It can be used as a cleansing gel (with water) or micellar solution and toner (without water). Its refreshing gel texture with micelles helps to accelerate and improve the efficiency of cleansing, while preserving a natural pH of the skin. Physio-micellar cleansing gel doesn’t overdry the skin and minimises the risk of irritation. Gel contains mango wax which softens and moisturizes the skin and D-panthenol that soothes irritations and smooths the skin.

Lirene Physio-micellar cleansing gel comes in a 200ml bottle with a convenient pump. The gel itself is clear and it has a fresh scent. I first tried Physio-micellar cleansing gel as any micellar toner before – I applied it on a cotton pad and then wiped my face with the pad(s) to cleanse it. And since I used it as a micellar toner, then I didn’t rinse my face with water. I hated how my skin felt after using it. My skin was kind of sticky and not that clean or fresh. And that’s why stopped using it.

Well, when I started using it again, I tried it as a face wash and you know what? I actually liked it! I applied it directly on my wet face and then rinsed it off. My skin felt fresh and clean after using it. This cleansing gel doesn’t lather, but it cleanses my skin quite well, although, if I have used more makeup then, unfortunately, it isn’t effective enough. Lirene Physio-micellar cleansing gel dries my skin a bit, but not too much.

Overall I liked Lirene Physio-micellar cleansing gel as a facial wash, but I hated it as a micellar toner. Would I buy it again? Probably not.

Lirene mitsellaarne näopuhastusgeel on 200ml pumbaga pudelis.

Vaevalt!

Interesting product form. I think I would like a micellar gel, and the pump is so nice to use. Sorry it didn’t actually work better for you.

How interesting to have a micellar gel rather than a micellar water. Too bad it wasn’t the best. I wonder if other companies will follow.

This sounds like a really unique product, but it’s too bad it didn’t work more like a typical micellar as well.

Never heard of this product before- thanks for sharing your opinion! I don´t care much for micellar waters either! 😉

Good thing you gave it another try! I’ve never heard of this product, but I do adore micellar cleansers.

Sounds very different. With the word micellar in it I’d expect to use it the way you first did too. I’m glad you found a good use for it after all.

Oh I would actually love to try this, especially as a cleanser like you suggest!
