Start Your Party Right with Unique and Awesome Party Invitations + GIVEAWAY

Who wouldn’t like parties, right? When I was a child, then I loved receiving those unique birthday party invitations that the birthday child usually had drawn and decorated themselves. Those cute invitations just set the right tone the party and they made you feel welcome 🙂

The years have passed and what I have noticed is that especially nowadays, with smartphones and computers, you hardly ever receive unique and awesome party invitations. Usually, there is just a plain text via SMS (or Facebook messenger) with the date, time and place. That’s it! Yes, this way is quick and cheap, however, this kind of invitations may get buried under heaps of other SMS and FB messages and so the recipient just forgets it because the invitations just don’t stand out.

A friend of mine is organising a baby shower soon and so had to create party invitations. After checking out different options she stumbled on Paperless Post. 1. Baby items in a bag- Keep guests guessing with this practical game. Put at least ten common, useful baby items inside a diaper bag; a bib, teething ring, rattle, bottle and diaper are just a few goodies that are also fairly inexpensive. Give each guest a pen and paper before passing the diaper bag around. Without looking, each person should stick a hand inside the bag and identify as many items as possible. Give each two minutes to feel around and make their guesses before moving the bag to the next person. Once everyone has had a turn, find out who had the most correct answers. The winner gets a prize and the parents-to-be get the diaper bag filled with baby essentials.

  2. I do not have a favourite baby shower game; I’ve never been to one. Guess the father?

  3. I’ve actually only been to one baby shower before but we played a cool game where we had to wear blindfolds and put a nappy (diaper) on a baby doll without looking! That certainly had us laughing.

  4. At my shower they had a picture of my face and my husband’s face cut into strips. Guests put the strips together to make a picture of what our baby would look like. We still have some of them- they were hilarious!

  5. I’ma huge fan of Jonathan Adler and I love that he has designs on PaperlessPost! I especially like the Oil Drop – Fucshia invite!

  6. Don’t say baby. Putting safety pins in rice to find while blindfolded is fun too! 😉

  7. I don’t know if this particular game counts as my favorite but I think it’s the funniest! It’s the one where you melt different chocolate bars into diapers and folks have to guess what it is. (Yes, it looks like p–p. :))

  8. My favourite baby shower game is wrapping a baby doll with a diaper while blindfolded.

  9. The one I remember my cousin baby shower guess how big her tummy is then you will know if she will have a boy or girl. It was so much fun. She had a girl.

  10. I like the invitation design with the castle on the front. It goes well with most party occations.

  11. We didn’t really do any games at the baby shower I went to, but we did get to decorate diapers and onesies for the mom-to-be!

  12. My favourite baby shower game is the one where you cut a piece of string or ribbon to the size you think the mom-to-be’s belly is. You test all the strings by wrapping them around mom and the person whos cut was closest wins!

  13. I like the games where you guess what the baby ate by melting different chocolate bars in the diaper.
