Who wouldn’t like parties, right? When I was a child, then I loved receiving those unique birthday party invitations that the birthday child usually had drawn and decorated themselves. Those cute invitations just set the right tone the party and they made you feel welcome 🙂
The years have passed and what I have noticed is that especially nowadays, with smartphones and computers, you hardly ever receive unique and awesome party invitations. Usually, there is just a plain text via SMS (or Facebook messenger) with the date, time and place. That’s it! Yes, this way is quick and cheap, however, this kind of invitations may get buried under heaps of other SMS and FB messages and so the recipient just forgets it because the invitations just don’t stand out.
A friend of mine is organising a baby shower soon and so had to create party invitations. After checking out different options she stumbled on Paperless Post. Paperless Post helps you create your perfect invitations. Whether you need awesome baby shower invitations or birthday invitations or cards for any other event – you can probably find them on Paperless Post.

Baby items in a bag- Keep guests guessing with this practical game. Put at least ten common, useful baby items inside a diaper bag; a bib, teething ring, rattle, bottle and diaper are just a few goodies that are also fairly inexpensive. Give each guest a pen and paper before passing the diaper bag around. Without looking, each person should stick a hand inside the bag and identify as many items as possible. Give each two minutes to feel around and make their guesses before moving the bag to the next person. Once everyone has had a turn, find out who had the most correct answers. The winner gets a prize and the parents-to-be get the diaper bag filled with baby essentials.

I’ve actually only been to one baby shower before but we played a cool game where we had to wear blindfolds and put a nappy (diaper) on a baby doll without looking! That certainly had us laughing.

At my shower they had a picture of my face and my husband’s face cut into strips. Guests put the strips together to make a picture of what our baby would look like. We still have some of them- they were hilarious!
