Travelling is something that people tend to have a love/hate relationship with. We love the idea of getting away, relaxing, unwinding, and exploring new and exciting destinations. What we don’t love is all the packing and organizing that needs to be done in advance to ensure you have everything you need in your “home away from home”.
We’ve put together a check list of beauty products that you’ll want to have on-hand while you travel. These items should cover everything and anything that may pop up beauty wise, allowing you to focus on having a great time!
Your Favourite Face Cream
It’s quite common for your skin to “act up” while travelling. This is all the more common if you travel to a spot that is dry, cold, hot, or humid. Anything that is basically out of the norm for your normal environmental conditions will begin to play havoc on your skin. This is exactly why you want to be sure to pack your favourite face cream, such as Makari, which is known for its extensive high-quality skin care line.
Facial Cleanser or Facial Wipes
Of course, you’ll need something to clean your face with, which can come in the form of a liquid facial cleanser, a bar, or wipes. If you plan on packing a liquid cleanser a good tip is to purchase a small travel-sized bottle that you can use. This will save a lot of space in your toiletries bag. If you’re worried about spillage while travelling, pick up a package of facial wipes instead.
We usually think of sunscreen for warm destinations, but sunscreen is just as important if you plan on spending your vacation on the ski slopes. A great product that is now available is sunscreen in a stick form. This is easy to throw in your purse or backpack, convenient to rub on, and you won’t have to worry about it spilling.
This is easily the area where you will end up packing the most items, but if you can downsize it will certainly help. Instead of packing individual items pick up a palette instead. You can find complete makeup palettes that include blush, eyeshadow, highlighter, bronzer, lip gloss, and sometimes even a liquid liner. This will act as a massive space saver and you know the colours will all coordinate with each other. Probably the only extra items you’ll need are lipstick, foundation, concealer, and mascara.
Lastly are the accessories or miscellaneous category. This includes such things as a nail file, nail clippers, tweezers, deodorant, travel sized shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and a shower pouf.
The Proper Toiletry Bag
One final note concerns the bag in which you plan to pack all your items in. A bag that has been specifically designed to hold toiletries is a wise option. These bags usually have separate compartments, are often waterproof, and the packets are often see-through so you can easily see what you’ve got.
By following along with this simple checklist you are sure to be well-prepared for your vacation.
