When you’re a lipstick junkie, there is no such thing as too many shades, especially when it’s a new season. Conveniently enough summer always seems to be right around the corner. The 2016 spring/ summer runways saw many shades consisting of classics as well as ones that were unique. Following is a list of hot summer colors for lipstick lovers.
Red
Red has been “in” for decades, and no matter how much time passes it never seems to get old. There are so many shades to choose from that there literally is a red for everyone, regardless of skin tone. If you haven’t found your perfect match yet, don’t wait too long. The right shade of this color has the power to transform your look without any other makeup. Most brands have amazing shades of red, finding the best red is nothing but finding one that suits you best.
A Hint Of Berry
While purple, for the longest time, was considered to be a winter color, many different shades of it were worn at the summer shows. This color is perfect for the ladies who love experimenting with grunge looks and is a fashion statement on the rise. Revlon’s Colorburst Matte Balm Shameless gives a deep purple color and has a moisturizing feel on the lips.
Peach
Peach is a shade that is not too bold nor too subtle. For those of you who find orange intimidating, consider peach as its toned down little sister. While it is a great summer shade, it can be pulled off all through the year when paired with the right makeup.
Orange
As a bold color that pops, orange has become a favorite that looks youthful and is worn by many. Contrary to popular belief, the right shades of this color can look good on any skin tone. The use of orange is sometimes met with hesitation by people who have thin lips. If you can relate, consider using lip plumpers to add volume. Some brands with a good collection of orange lipsticks are MAC, Colorbar, and NARS
Burgundy
There were many shades of burgundy, some mixed with Berry, dominating the spring/ summer shows. Like Berry, this winter color has made its way into the summer catalog. MAC and Nars have a number of good shades in this color.
Fuchsia
Fuchsia is another bold color that pops. Like red, there are shades of fuchsia that can look good on any skin tone. It’s girly, bold, and definitely deserves a place in your collection. Maybelline Color Show Lipstick, Fuchsia Flare is a good shade to consider.
Pink
Pink is not just for the girly girls anymore. The softer shades of this color work very well on casual days that require minimal makeup. The right shades can give you the perfect bubblegum lips that look oh so irresistible. The L’Oreal Paris Exclusive Pink collection has a variety of pinks suited to different skin tones.
With all shades considered, we hope you are now equipped to go on your summer colors shopping spree!
