PMD Personal Microderm review

February 2, 2016 By Leelo

Trying new beauty gadgets is always interesting and when a month ago I was offered an opportunity to try PMD Personal Microderm home microdermabrasian system device, then I didn’t think long before saying yes! In a way I am lucky because my skin looks rather okay, but a few years ago I started noticing fine lines on my forehead and so far really no cream or treatment have made them go away. And I guess that’s my main reason why I wanted to try this device.

So what is Personal Microderm? PMD Personal Microderm combines the power of Patented Spinning Disc Technology with a Perfectly Calibrated Vacuum Suction to brighten, smooth, and even skin tone and texture. It is clinically provern to remove dull aging, reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, and blemishes.  After a treatment, makeup is promised to go on smoother and skin care penetrates significantly deeper. Sounds promising?

PMD Personal Microderm set

My PMD Personal Microderm set arrived quickly and it contains everything you need to get started. In the box there is PMD Personal Microderm device, 7 exfoliating discs, electrical cord, 2 caps, reusable filter and instructional DVD and pamphlet. Since my device came with US plug then I also had to get US to EU adapter so I could use the device. But luckily that adapter cost only 1€ 😀

PMD Personal Microderm discs

When I first took my device out of the box then I wasn’t sure what to think of it and once I plugged it in and switched it on it did look kind of scary. So just as recommended in PMD Personal Microderm How-To video I started with the white training disc and I first tried the device on my arm. It felt kind of weird, because it was sucking and pulling my skin 😀 The PMD Personal Microderm contains a perfectly calibrated vacuum suction. This technology pulls the blood flow to the surface of the skin for increased blood flow and circulation. This suction triggers the body’s essential healing process, which builds collagen and elastin and leaves the skin firm and radiant.

After I had tested it on my arm I decided to use the blue disc which is meant for sensitive skin and try it on my face. I first thoroughly cleansed and dried my face and then it was time to use the device on my face. I hold my skin taut and then let the PMD Personal Microderm device to glide on my skin. Next I washed my face and then applied serum and moisturizing cream.

PMD Personal Microderm

I have used Personal Microderm twice and after two treatments I have noticed my skin to be a bit smoother, brighter and it seems that some of the fine lines are less visible. Also my serum and moisturising cream absorb much better 🙂 I will continue using Personal Microderm and I hope that after two-three months I can share with you some amazing results 🙂

You can find order home microdermabrasian system from PMD Personal Microderm website or from Nordstrom

While these do scare me a little, I definitely want to try it. I guess the key is the sensitive skin disc and being super gentle in the way one uses it. I’m so glad that you already saw results after just two uses! Thanks for this review, Leelo!

Yes! You really have to be gentle and not overuse it.

I can’t do microdermabrasion since my skin is too sensitive, but this device sounds very interesting!

I have read and watched a lot of reviews on this device, the divide is high and wide, people seem to love it or hate it.

I have been wanting to get one of these forever- as a SAHM/one income household, hubs has not said yes to my begging yet- I have tried to win one and no luck…. but I am glad that you got to try it. I can’t remember if I got denied for the campaign or if it didn’t apply for it…. I haven’t really been blogging much so I haven’t really been checking brandbacker much…. thanks for your thoughts on the product.
