In my Lookfantastic Beauty Box August box I received Rimmel Scandaleyes XX-Treme Volume & Length mascara. This is one of those mascaras that some people love and some absolutely hate. I’ve always wanted to try it, because it does come with pretty promises about volume and length.
Rimmel Scandaleyes XX-Treme Volume & Length mascara is promised to give extreme high impact volume and endless dramatic length. This mascara has dual impact brush that captures lashes bringing them to their max. Rimmel Scandaleyes wand’s arched side volumises and loads up lashes for extreme look. Its flat side helps to define and lengthen lashes from root to tip without leaving any clumps.

As I mentioned in my beauty box post, I wasn’t very impressed with this mascara after first use. It seemed very wet and just not living up to the promises. But as I have mentioned before – you can’t judge a mascara after first use(s). This mascara showed its real power when I used it for the second time. I absolutely love that it makes my lashes longer and more voluminous in just one coat! And if I want dramatic result (or I have more time) then I add 2-3 layers. But with more layers I have to be careful, not to end up with spider legs lashes. For that I have to comb my lashes after each layer (I prefer Royal & Langnickel Brow/Lash Groomer C521-S).
This mascara’s wand works great, but it tends to pick up too much product and so I have to wipe some mascara off before using the wand. Its curved side adds nice volume to my lashes and the flat side is good for lengthening. On my lashes Rimmel Scandaleyes XX-Treme Volume & Length mascara stays all days without flaking or smearing, but I have read, that some people have problems with that.
Overall I’m impressed with Rimmel Scandaleyes XX-Treme Volume & Length mascara and it has been my go-to mascara ever since I received it.
