Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil

November 4, 2015 By Leelo

It doesn’t happen very often that I have two hair care product reviews for you, but today is the day 😀 Maybe you already read my Maple Holistics Silk18 Conditioner review and now I also have Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil review for you. I received this travel size hair mask back in my Lookfantastic Beauty Box May box. I had never heard of Christophe Robin hair care products before that, but the description on the packaging sounded like it would be a perfect hair mask for my blonde and color-treated hair.

Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil

So according to those pretty promises Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil is a perfect hair mask for very dry and damaged hair. It restores and revitalises hair from root to tip. It is enriched with pure prickly pear seed oil and has antioxidant and regenerative properties, penetrating deep into the hair to repair it from within. Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil also stimulates the scalp and protects hair from split ends and further breakages. It is also great for coloured hair thanks to Inula flower extract which restores the pigments of both natural and dyed locks, leaving it looking vibrant, healthy and full of vitality.

Didn’t that just sound perfect? The full size (250ml) of this hair mask costs around 60€/70$/50£ so my hopes were literally sky high. This hair mask thick cream that has very pleasant smell. Although the mask is thick I had no problems with applying it on my hair. It instantly made my hair much softer, but for some reason it didn’t make finger combing my hair any easier. After rinsing and drying, my hair was soft and shiny, but I didn’t feel that they were nourished that much and I still had to use leave-in spray to detangle my hair 🙁

I like that Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask didn’t weigh my hair down nor made it greasy, but for that price point I did expect something more. I didn’t feel it did anything special to my hair and unfortunately for me it was on the same level with some cheap drugstore hair masks.

Overall I’m disappointed in Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil and I would not buy it again in the future, because in my opinion it just doesn’t live up the promises.

This hair mask is available at Lookfantastic.com, Sephora.com, HQHair.com, Amazon.com
