Popular Types of Makeup

partneredpost

Makeup is a multibillion dollar industry. This is not surprising, considering that there are billions of women around the world who want to look beautiful. There are seemingly more types of makeup being created every day. The variety of colors and styles that you can find in stores and online is truly staggering. No matter how a woman wants to look, no matter what type of appearance she is striving to achieve, there are various makeup products that will help her to achieve her goal. Here are a few of the most popular types of makeup.

1. Lipstick
This is the mother of all makeup products. It is the most basic, the easiest to apply and by far the most popular. Generally speaking, this is the first variety of makeup that women learn to apply when they are a young girl. Lipstick is currently available in just about every color you can possibly imagine. All you need to do is take a look at the website of one of the major retail stores to see the enormous amount of options that women have in terms of lipstick.

2. Eye shadow
Eye shadow gives a woman an exotic and mysterious look that can’t be achieved by any other type of makeup. This is commonly used in combination with lash brow serum to create a truly memorable appearance. Girls typically do not start using eye shadow until that are in their late teens. Needless to say, it would be strange to see a 6th grader going to school wearing eye shadow. This is more complicated to apply than lipstick, mainly due to the fact that it must be properly distributed in order for it to have the look that most women desire. Like most forms of makeup application, this usually takes a great deal of practice to master.

3. Blush
The eyes and the lips are not the only part of a woman’s face that need to stay looking beautiful at all times. Their cheeks are also a key area for makeup to be applied to. Blush adds color to the face of women with a fair complexion. These women do not want to appear too pale and unhealthy looking. It is one of those makeup items that can take quite a long time to master. If a woman applies too much blush, they can end up looking like they stayed out in the sun too long. Fortunately, it is easier than ever before for women to learn how to apply blush and other makeup items. There are a wide variety of websites which can demonstrate the proper application techniques for blush. In the old days, a woman would need to rely on her mother to demonstrate the finer points of makeup application. Fortunately, this is no longer the case.

4. Eye liner
Eye liner is a dark border that women can place around their eyes to make them stand out. This is normally used when the woman is also using other forms of makeup around her eyes. Therefore, she needs to use the eye liner to provide some form of color separation. As far as the application of eye liner is concerned, it can be slightly difficult for girls who are just starting to use it, but nothing that can’t be mastered after several applications.
