I love BB and CC creams and tinted moisturisers, because they usually offer some coverage, make my skin tone look more even and feel lightweight on my skin. In early January I decided to try Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Touch of Max Factor Foundation Moisturiser in Fair, because I was running out of my Decleor Hydra Floral Multi-Protection BB Cream and I had read from somewhere (probably some beauty blog) that the Olay cream is good. And those pretty promises on the packaging… I had to try it!
So before I show you the swatches and share my opinion of it, here are the pretty promises:
- reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- moisturises and gives a radiant, healthy-looking glow
- hydrates for a firmer skin
- smoothes and evens skin texture
- minimalises the appearance of pores
- balances color and reduces the appearance of age spots
- brightens and improves skin surface
Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Touch of Max Factor Foundation Moisturiser comes in a 50ml plastic bottle with a pump. The pump gives out quite a lot product so press it slowly. What I like about this cream is that it keeps my skin moisturised all day and I can’t even feel that I’m wearing it.
I bought this BB cream in shade Fair which was the lightest shade available. For my light skin tone this cream is slightly too dark in winter time and so I have to be very careful when applying it, because I don’t want to end up with a obvious line between my face and neck. As you can see from the comparison photo above it doesn’t cover much and it doesn’t really make my skin tone look more even either. Sometimes, no matter how carefully I blend it on my skin, it will still look kind of patchy 🙁 Also it leaves my skin too shiny, but luckily my finishing powder takes care of that problem.
And then there is one thing I absolutely HATE about Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Touch of Max Factor Foundation Moisturiser – sometimes it just starts rolling off my face. And that is really disappointing!
Overall I’m very disappointed in Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Touch of Max Factor Foundation Moisturiser because:
- it leaves my skin looking patchy
- leaves my skin looking shiny
- doesn’t cover anything
- doesn’t make my skin tone look more even
- rolls off my skin
- shade Fair is too dark for my light skin
Would I buy it again? NO NO NO!

On my skin this stuff oxidizes like crazy. In 10 minutes I am Oompa Loompa

Luckily it doesn’t do that on my skin, but it is just bit too dark 🙁
