Collistar Energy+Regeneration Night Cream

January 21, 2015 By Miss L

In August I ran out of my night cream and after googling and searching I decided to try Collistar Energy+Regeneration Night Cream, because it sounded like a good cream, promising fresher and brighter skin and visibly reduced wrinkles. But was this cream any good? Read on to find out.

Collistar Energy+Regeneration Night Cream

Collistar Energy+Regeneration Night Cream is promised to boost energy and regeneration thanks to the combination of the energizing power of Oligopeptide 20 with the regenerating properties of an active principle of marine origin extracted from Polynesian micro-organisms, which acts on two fronts. Firstly it stimulates the formation of two proteins, filaggrin and involucrin, which play an essential role in cell turnover. Secondly it performs a controlled micro-exfoliation which removes dead cells from the surface of the skin, leaving it smoother, brighter and more even. Thanks to the addition of Desoxine Bio®, a detoxifying substance extracted from Myrtle, the cream stimulates skin cell respiration and performs a repairing action, helping to eliminate toxins accumulated during the day due to pollution and atmospheric aggressions. Right from early morning the face is fresh and bright, the skin smoother and more vital, and wrinkles are visibly reduced. Night after night, it benefits from a real global regeneration process that is ultra-effective in combating skin aging.

So this Energy+Regeneration Night Cream comes with many pretty promises and even though I wasn´t able to find many reviews or comments about it I still decided to give it a try. Well this cream comes in a 50ml glass jar. I like it´s simple pink and golden design, but I don´t like that it is a glass jar. Also I´m not very fond of this jar type of packaging, because, as you all probably know – scooping cream from jar using your finger is not the most hygienic way.

This cream has okay scent and nice light texture. Many night creams tend to be heavy and take forever to absorb. I didn´t experience that with this cream. It absorbed quickly and didn´t leave my skin greasy. And well that´s all. When it comes to all those pretty promises than unfortunately I did not notice any of them. It moisturised my skin and that´s it. When I was using Energy+Regeneration Night Cream then it actually reminded me of Oriflame Aqua-Rhythm Night Cream (review here) which  was in my opinion even better than Energy+Regeneration Night Cream and it cost less.

Overall Collistar Energy+Regeneration Night Cream is an okay night cream, but in my opinion it isn´t anything special.
