New Year usually comes with heap of promises. Some fo those promises we can keep a week or two, some won´t make it any further from the resolutions list and some resolutions will become a good habit 🙂
When it comes to my beauty resolutions for 2015 then this year I promised to ….
- I will use cuticle oil every day! I should be using cuticle oil daily to moisturise my nail area and improve the health and appearance of my cuticles and nails. Somehow cuticle oil is something that I actually do keep near me most of the time, but somehow I end up using it only before taking manicure photos.
- I will upgrade my everyday beauty routine! So far my regular beauty routine is something like this: cleanser, toner, eye cream and moisturiser and once or twice a week face mask. Last year I started adding serums to my beauty routine and so this year I promise to keep using them in order to make my skin look better
- I will cut out as many carbs as possible from my diet! The bad thing is love sweets and I´m able to eat a 1l ice-cream in less than 30 minutes 😛 Well unfortunately simple carbohydrates, like refined sugar, white bread etc cause insulin levels to spike and that causes production of enzymes that break down collagen and elastin which results in sagging skin, wrinkles, acne and other skin problems. So sugar, white bread and some other my favorite snacks are bad for both my weight and skin and so it is better to just stop eating them.
- I will clean my makeup brushes more often! I´m so bad at washing my makeup brushes, because usually I have 100 other things to do and so I will just forget. I do clean them with e.l.f Daily Brush Cleaner (buy here) daily, but this will not make them thoroughly clean.
So these are my beauty resolutions for this year. Which bad beauty habits do you plan to break this year?

I heartily endorse clean brushes! Clean brushes are better for our skin and they make our makeup go on better, too. Cleaning them is a pain in the butt.

I hate the cleaning part… maybe I should hire someone to clean them for me 😀

Well all are totally channeling each other. Clean brushes are a must, but they are soooo hard at times to want to clean them daily.lol… Its on my list as well. I thought for sure you already used cuticle oil daily, cause you have GREAT nails. I wish mine would grow, but I am blessed with little short nail beds. lol… Great resolutions

I definitely need to take care of my nails more. I don’t do anything to them and they’re so thin and peel so easy! I need to find a good cuticle oil.
Kim says
Yes! for using cuticle oil daily. I started off well this year, now, I’m down to every other night. Great post.

I need to use cuticle oil or hand cream daily. I don’t have really dry hands and I use coconut oil all the time… but this winter has beat my cuticles up.

I am TERRIBLE about not using cuticle oil enough.
