NOTD: water marble

water marble nail art

Water marble nail art is something that is quite messy, but I love the result. I don´t do it very often because it is time-consuming and, as I mentioned, messy and you have to do a quite a lot clean up afterwards. But today I have a water marble nail art for you and I used three Nails Inc nail polishes for it: St James Square, Holland Park Gardens and Cambridge Terrace.

I started my manicure with OPI Nail Envy and a coat of Nails Inc Holland Park Gardens. And then came the “fun” part with a cup of water, dotting tool, duck tape and nail polishes. For those who don´t know why you need duck tape for water marbling (ok you don´t exactly NEED it, but it just makes the whole cleanup much easier afterwards) – I usually tape my finger around my nails with it and so when I remove the duck tape from my finger then I also remove the excess nail polish and I don´t have to clean up that much. I finished my manicure, as always with a coat of Essie Good To Go top coat.

  1. Lovely shades! I love watermarbling, the random patterns you get are the best!

  2. Love the colour combo! I’ve yet to attempt a water marble, mainly because they can be so messy 😀
