How to pack nail polishes for moving

August 17, 2014 By Leelo

Today I´m showing you how to pack nail polishes for moving. Most of you probably don´t know that in 5 days we will be moving to UK for the next 11 months. Yay! On Friday I started packing nail polishes that I´m taking with me to UK. I do have about 150 nail polishes, but I´m not taking all of them with me. How I chose what to take and what not? I took those that I absolutely love and can´t live without 😀 I also tried not to pack any dupes with me.

Lihtne! 😀 ). Samuti üritasin kaasa võtta võimalikult erinevaid toone.

For packing nail polishes you will need:

  • a carton box
  • bubble wrap
  • scissors
  • duck tape

Küünelakkide pakkimiseks läheb vaja:

  • kasti/karpi
  • mullikilet
  • kääre
  • teipi

  1. add a layer of bubble wrap in  the bottom of the box
  2. roll the nail polish in a piece of bubble wrap
  3. cut the excess
  4. add a piece of duck tape so the nail polish stays securely in  the bubble wrap
  5. place it in the box
  6. make sure the packed nail polishes won´t move around too much in the box
  7. add a layer of bubble wrap on top of the polishes
  8. close the box and tape it

Packing nail polishes this way is time consuming, but I can be pretty sure they will arrive in one piece to my new place. When it comes to bubble wrap then you can buy it from post offices and other places that sell packing materials. Don´t forget to reuse! I get quite many packages and I usually keep the usable bubble wrap and so I can use it myself if I need it. The same goes with boxes.

So these were my tips for packing nail polishes. What are your tips?

Did you spill some nail polish on hard floor? Then use this quick tip about how to remove spilled nail polish off the floor!

  1. aseta kiht mullikilet karbi põhja
  2. rulli küünelakk mullikilesses
  3. lõika ära üleliigne
  4. kinnita kile otsa teibiga
  5. aseta lakk kasti

Millised on sinu nipid?

Great tips. I wanted to add that if you don’t have money to buy bubble wrap, you can use your dish towels or wash clothes to wrap them as well. When I move, I always wrap my dishes and glass wear in towels. It works great and keeps my stuff from breaking plus it keeps it clean. 😉

Now this is smart! I’ll admit I’m usually lazy and just chuck them in a tote. But messes are not fun, and neither is loosing an expensive polish! Thank you for sharing this on the #SundayBlogHop
