Perfect eye makeup with Yves Rocher makeup products

A few weeks ago Yves Rocher sent me some makeup goodies and so today I want to introduce them to you and also show you my perfect eye makeup with them.

Yves Rocher sent me Fixing Eyelid Primer, Intense Kajal eye liner, Volume Vertige mascara and Quad Eyeshadow Sumptuous Color. I didn’t really know what to expect from these products, but they all have surprised me in a good way 🙂

Yves Rocher Quad Eyeshadow Sumptuous Color in Red-Hot Brown

Yves Rocher Quad Eyeshadow Sumptuous Color palette comes in six shades: Red-Hot Brown, Sumptuous Pink, Bright Blue, Subtle Aquatic Blue, Brilliat Green and Deep Grey. On Yves Rocher website these eye shadows are described as ultra soft shadows with fine texture that are easy to apply and blend. They are promised to stay on flawlessly and not fade or change color.

I received Yves Rocher Quad Eyeshadow Sumptuous Color in shade Red-Hot Brown. These shades are perfect shades for me, because I tend to use brown(ish) shades quite often both day and night-time looks. This eyeshadow quad comes in a gold and black palette. Palette contains 4 eye shadows, 2 double-ended sponge applicators and a big mirror. On the reverse side of the palette there are also instructions about how to get the perfect eye makeup with these shadows. I think these step by step tips are great for those who don’t have much experience with eye shadows, because you will achieve a perfect look when following those instructions.

These eye shadows itself are really nice, soft, easy to apply and blend. I like that there was almost no fallout during eye shadow application. They can be used dry or wet. They stay on well when used with primer and won’t fade or irritate my eyes.

Overall so far my experience with these eye shadows has been great and I think Yves Rocher has created a really good palette that I will use a lot!

 Yves Rocher Fixing Eyelid Primer

Yves Rocher Fixing Eyelid Primer is enriched with Camellia oil and it is promised to smooth and fill wrinkles and fine lines. Eyeshadow will stay in place and its color will stay vibrant longer.

Yves Rocher Fixing Eyelid Primer

Fixing Eyelid Primer comes in a tiny 7ml tube, but since you only need a small amount of product then it will last quite long. The primer is yellow, but once applied on eyelids it will look sheer. It doesn’t feel heavy or sticky on my lids, but it really makes eye shadows look more vibrant and they last all day without creasing. This eyelid primer is really good and it has become one of my favorite eyeshadow primers.

Yves Rocher Intense Kajal eyeliner

Yves Rocher Intense Kajal eyeliner is described as a creamy, intensely pigmented eyeliner.

Well when I first saw this eyeliner then my first thought was – what is this lipstick doing here, because the Intense Kajal eyeliner packaging looks like a typical lipstick tube 😀 I wasn’t sure about this eyeliner or its performance, but I have to tell you that it has been great surprise, because it feels really nice and soft. It is quite well pigmented and it is easy to smudge for those smoky looks.

Yves Rocher Volume Vertige mascara

In Yves Rocher Volume Vertige mascara there are combined two things: formula that is enriched with a fixing botanical extract and a Reservoir Brush which releases the perfect amount of mascara to maximise volume.

Yves Rocher Volume Vertige mascara

Those who have read my blog probably know that a good mascara is a must-have in my makeup bag. When I was about 12 then I had a Yves Rocher mascara (my very first mascara btw 😉 ) and I remember that I liked it. Volume Vertige mascara comes in a stylish silver tube. The Volume Vertige mascara wand is on the bigger side, but it works well for applying mascara. It doesn’t have scent, it is easy to remove and it doesn’t irritate my eyes. Volume Vertige mascara is good everyday mascara, because it adds length and volume to my lashes, but it doesn’t clump them together. Also it doesn’t flake or smear! I do like this mascara, but for really dramatic looks I have to use something else.
