Review: Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Your Eyes/Enhanced Starter Set

Hi!
So finally here is the review of  Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Your Eyes/Enhanced Starter Set that I ordered from iHerb in June. It costs $17.99 there.

This starter set contains 5 brushes and a case that can be used as a stand. The case keeps brushes nicely organised and you can take them easily along with you where ever you go. I´m not very fond of this case, because it is very inconvenient to put the brushes back after using them and so I don´t use it.
So onto the brushes
These brushes have hand-cut synthetic taklon bristles and they are 100% cruelty free. Handles of the brushes are made of aluminum and so they are lightweight.
Quality of these brushes is great. I have washed them many times and there haven´t been any fall out of bristles. These brushes pick up eye shadows very well and applying them is also very easy.

Deluxe Crease Brush:
“Soft, oversized design for effortless contouring”
At first Deluxe Crease Brush seemed huge, but after using it once or twice I started to like it a lot. I use it for applying darker eyeshadow in the crease and also in the outer corner. It is also great for blending.

Base Shadow Brush:
“Applies a smooth, flawless foundation of color”
This brush works very well for applying eye shadows and also for blending them. Love it!
Accent Brush:
“Designed for precision detailing, spotlighting, highlighting, and smudging”
I use it for smudging and precise eye shadow application.

Brow Brush:
“Distinctive shape easily defines eyebrows”
It is bit too big, but after practising couple of times defining brows is quite easy. I use it for applying brow shadow and setting wax.

Pixel-Point Eyeliner Brush:
“Tapered cut is ideal for dense or fine eyeliner application”
Well… this is probably my least favorite brush from this set. It works well for thick eyeliner line, but when I want really fine one then I have to use something else.

In conclusion this is great basic brush set and it has very good price ($17.99 on iHerb). In my opinion this also is great gift for someone who is just starting to use brushes for applying makeup and also for someone who wants great quality brushes that doesn´t cost that much.

If you haven´t ordered from iHerb.com before then you can save up to $10 from your very first order if you use code ROH837
